By the time you get to games 4 and 5, it can be tough for the guys who played lots of minutes in earlier games to continue focusing and playing hard. Still, the dogs days of the season will be a much bigger test for Cousins, especially if the Kings aren't doing well. I'm still not sold he has the mentality to be great in the NBA. 82 games vs 30+ games, long road trips, loooooooots of free time during the day, constant verbal baiting, deliberate hard fouls, dirty play, bad calls by refs, etc, etc. I definitely would NOT have selected him with the #2 pick.
Looks like Cousins got bored with Summer League. One big concern is the fact that coming into tonight's game his field goal % was 37% and he was 1-12 tonight. Summer League or no Summer League that is unacceptable for a big man who is a post player. He settled for a lot of jumpers so maybe he was using the Summer League to work on his jumper because he rarely took them at Kentucky.
