I wonder, how much does Yao pay for airline tickets? Is he in a frequent-flyer program and gets discounts on every ticket? Or does he pay full price for (assumed) first-class tickets? Do players pay for any of the transportation services they get for being NBA players out of their own pockets? Because I imagine NBA players fly A LOT.
This needs to be posted. New article by WOJ. Unfortunately, Melo was in Baltimore this past weekend. 'Privately, Anthony has expressed more enthusiasm over joining the Houston Rockets than the Knicks, sources said.' http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AuJTAOMNcKewlle1IUn2Eaq8vLYF?slug=aw-anthonykroenke082410
Also, through various posts in this thread, namely by convictedstupid and ramathorn I have concluded that yao was only in denver for a few hours at most. Since Yao went there yesterday in the late afternoon and carmelo left denver this morning and then that WOJ article
Sounds like he went to Denver to reassure Melo he's healthy. The Chinese media sites are about to read this thread and go ape-****.
To Denver huh? Uh oh, maybe Melo wants to make sure Yao's foot is healthy before he accepts the trade. DD
I haven't felt butterflies like this in a long time...why did I have to read this before going to sleep?! I guess I can forget about getting any rest tonight...
i think it's more likely they talked business....perhaps Melo's reason for going to china is linked to Yao and they needed to talk in person about it. Any upcoming charity games for Yao? What's Melo doing in china?
And was it confirmed anywhere that Melo actually made it back to Denver? He met with this guy over the weekend in Baltimore, no mention of whether he flew back to Denver or not, so he could have taken off directly to shanghai and there wouldnt be any chance of him and yao meeting, for any reason.
sometimes it's hard to believe how large Yao is even with the camera angle look at the size of a 7'2" human next to Yao Ming.
