Good points but IMHO Lee's miserable nets season was due to him not being able to create on his own. On the magic DH always gets doubled, and other guys spaced the floor meaning his shots were fairly open. However the Nets lacked both good shooters and dominant post players, so he had to score on double coverage most of the time.

Yes, typically players on a situation like that would pull an "ariza" and start jacking up shots, inflating their stats and missing a lot, however as already noted Lee had more a "Battier" mentality. Basically he was passive as ****, and probably just passed the ball when he got swarmed. However the good news is that on this team, Lee can do what he does best-play pesky D and shoot open shots. Whether its Brooks, Lowry, Martin or C-bud, someone will always be there to create shots for him, so all he really has to do on O is hit the open 3.

He's still only 24, and unlike Ariza he already has decent ball handling skills. IMHO Lee will only improve over time, and honestly if only he was a bit more aggressive and really worked on his game IMHO he can come really close to Brandon Roy.

Courtney Lee was the guy I wanted in the draft if we couldn't get Brandon Rush or Chris Douglas Roberts. I'm happy with this trade and after reading DD's post, am of the belief that Morey wanted him for a while just like he wanted KM. This guy really fits the mold of the type of player the Rockets value - unselfish, hard-working, versatile and team-oriented.

    High-fives all-around!

I remember during the draft process a lot of people said this is the guy that the Rockets office were targeting.
