This is significant because Anderson was a key salary filler in any straight up Howard for Whiteside deal. Now, if such a deal were to be executed, Dragic is likely involved.
Wow loving this for my Hornets!! Second trade that doesn't make much sense for the other side. Memphis really blowing it up??
Memphis is stagnate I dont know if they will make the playoffs with the Gasol injury. ZBo is still effective but he is on the downside of his career. In a league that values 3pt shooting the Grizzlies have none. They had their peak a few years ago with the core they had but at this point it would make sense to blow it up for them. I cant see what a core of Conley/Zbo/Gasol gets them other than 50 wins and a playoff spot. I can see them holding onto Conley but possibly moving the other pieces this off season
Lee is one of those "good fit" players wherever he goes. (Remember when Lee and Terrence Williams was on same Nets team, and TWill was the better player there? Ha)
Talking about 2nds: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Miami 2017 if in top 40 (if not, 2018), Charlotte 2018, Brooklyn 2019, Boston 2019 (top 56 protected) per source.</p>— Chris Herrington (@HerringtonNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/HerringtonNBA/status/699694276964265984">February 16, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Good for Charlotte. Trying to cover the Chinese market with two Asian brothers in Lin and Lee. Lin and Lee are boys I believe.
Pj was getting 20 minutes and contributed like 2 pts a game. Now they move batum over back to SF. No one cuts into minutes
Not a bad deal for Memphis all things considered. Pick up future picks for Lee's expiring. Were they planning on re-signing him to a big deal in the off-season? I doubt it. Get to go another direction. And they get to have a look at Hairston - will a change of scenery suit him? I doubt it, but a talented player on the cheap for one year isn't a bad result. Chris Anderson might even help them tread water this season (if playoffs is their goal) Pretty good trade for all parties imo.
