because if you want to make an argument about a guy that has a real case against the law don't put BS in your article. Otherwise people will dismiss the entire thing.

He has also been trying for a year to get an ID?

A much better case is the elderly lady I saw in person when voting. She couldn't ride a bus if it was 2 minutes.

I've been in situation where I can't get a passport (1st time applying) for international business travel (and this is prior to 911). I had all the paper work but just simply wasn't right enough style of paper to prove I'm a citizen. After going back and forth for weeks, it literally took my boss contacting and spelling out the BS through a congressional office to cut through the red tape. I'm grateful that I had that business trip because it's doubtful I would have been able to get a passport post-911.

So, yea, I wouldn't be surprise that he have been trying for a year (most people probably just give up the right to vote). From what I read, he probably will never be able to get a photo ID for voting given the current laws (and the usual red tape).

The law did what it intended to do.

May or may not be BS ... if he goes to:

Texas Department of Public Safety, 13730 Research Blvd, Austin, TX 78750

    or

Texas Department of Public Safety Driver License Center, 216 Wells Branch Pkwy, Pflugerville, TX 78660

it takes three buses and 2 - 3 hours.

Why would he go there? Don't know. There's a DPS that even closer than the one you chose for your example (5 miles away vs 7.7). I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have a computer (or internet) to look all this up.

Not difficult considering that's inclusive of every Randall's and Fiesta in Austin.

The one farther away opens earlier and closes later; there's no way to tell why he choose a far one unless someone asks him or the article's author.

They never indicated what DPS he chose. They just found a random guy and figured people would believe a 2 hour bus ride is needed because Texas.

So while both sides are fighting over Voter ID laws, I thought I would reiterate where the true fraud is occurring. There are 10s of thousands of peoples names not showing up on voter registration for various reasons that are beyond the persons control. They do their diligence, submit their paperwork and it never goes through. Mean while, Liberals are busy crying foul on Voter ID for the same people who know in advance they do not have ID.

Keep in mind Georgia is in a tight race. Things like this can swing an election, not just on a state level, but control for the senate.

You think "liberals " aren't concerned about voter suppression in Georgia.

It's a problem in GA and in TX.

Solution: GOP should stop enacting voter suppression laws.

You do realize liberal groups have been in a huge legal fight against the Republican Sec of State to force the state to register these voters, right? Republicans have consistently dismissed them.

Corruption is everywhere. Its not limited to GA and TX, or Republicans or Liberals. Learn to quit waving your flag for your favorite team. Focus on fixing the problems, not keeping score for your team.

One side is consistently trying to fix the problem . The other is fighting it at every step. The GOP Secretary of State decided to investigate the voter registration group itself, while laughing off the issue of the missing registration forms:

As late as this past Saturday, Kemp was pushing back on the “missing voters” story at a campaign stop with Republican Gov. Nathan Deal, who is running for re-election. “I've gone all around the state looking for missed ballots. And I haven't found a damn one of them,” Kemp told a crowded rally in Dunwoody.

Not since the old Jim Crow days has any party actively attempted to reduce voting - whether through voter ID laws, or cutting back early voting and polling places. I know you like to run to the "everyone does it!" schtick whenever your party does something you don't like, but it's not true. Voter suppression is very clearly being pushed by one, and only one, side of this debate. Pretending otherwise is part of the problem.
