Depends on what you consider a mansion. Is it house sq ft? Lot size? Style?

 

$300k with decent credit, good for a $750k - $1MM note; would that qualify as a mansion?

 

Marriage is a big choice, possible that weddings make things more stressful with the attention and expectations. If you wouldn't elope at a courthouse or don't routinely visualize being with them 20 years later, just ask for some more time. I never get why a prenup is such a huge issue. Yeah I get it may have some moral implications but its only fair for both in the case it doesn't work out. But if they are truly in love, sign it and be done with it since you wouldn't have to worry about it.
