Admittedly, Iraq and Syria are currently not very high on my list of countries to visit. Neither is Saudi Arabia, just doesn't seem like it would be a lot of fun. I would eventually like to visit Iran. Been to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Egypt, Qatar many times, and also to Tunisia.

Take the opportunity to travel cheaply (e.g. with Ryanair) to some other European countries (e.g. Italy). Everything is pretty close. Hope you will have a great time!

Curious, I know you've been around the world and all, what States have you been to in the USA? What did you like, what did you not like, where would you like to go? I find foreign perspectives fascinating.
ATW - New Zealand is a big gap on your map. Also Jordan to see Petra. Otherwise quite impressive. My map would be heavy on Europe, Middle East, Carribean and Australia/NZ. I'd like to see more of South America soon.
