After reading the thread about the new Medal of Honor game, I started wondering how many people on this board actually play Counter-Strike. It seems quite a few are fans of the game, and I was wondering if any of you guys or gals were interested in a Clutch City Counter-Strike Classic tournament(CCCSC). I don't know the exact setup, but I would be interested to know if there were enough people to make a tourney. If you play counter-strike, please respond!
I'm gonna look for this game on ebay or half.com and maybe i'll get... I'd love to go on a few missions with fellow cc.netters! rH
It's a mod to half-life. The mod is free, and you can pick up half-life for like 10 to 20 bucks all over the place -- it's worth every penny.
You guys gotta try Tactical Ops. Its basically the same thing, but on the Unreal Tourament engine. Better graphics (so you can at least see who is hitting you from a distance) and most people who've came from counterstrike say better gameplay. (You don't freeze when you get hit) Most of the action takes server side, so your ping will be a bit higher than CS, but since most of the action takes place serverside, so you will have less cheaters. Animation and weapon detail are better in CS. CS is a professional made game, so less updates are made, while TO is made by a gaming fanatic(which means more updates and cheats are constantly being defeated)
Can I download this game somewhere for free, and be able to use it for this tournament? I'd love to learn how to play this game so I can kick some ass!
Da if you can get a server up that would be awsome, we can have a tournament bracket or 2 on 2's? i say a 2 on 2 tourney
I know there's already 13 whole posts in this thread so I guess I can't really expect you to read them all (even though half are only one line) so I'll just copy and paste from Vengence's earlier post: "It's a mod to half-life. What this means is that you have to buy a copy of half-life and then download the counter strike mod (it's about 90 MB I believe). If you pay $30 or $40 from Walmart/Best Buy/whatever it should have counter strike included and you won't have to download such a large file. Better?
Dude, maybe I should re-post my post for YOU... I'm poor, I'd rather use my $10-20 on something more worthwhile like Porno or something...
Note that CounterStrike 1.4 is quickly on the way. Either way, if you buy the pack in the store that comes with CS, you'll likely still have to download the update to it.
2 on 2 tourney.. we have to atleast have teams of no less than 3 or 4.. its a team game not based as much around individual play. I say we stay strictly on basic maps like de_dust and cs_prodigy(even though prodigy kinda sux).
did i ever tell you the time i went 52-1 and everyone accused me of cheating...ahh good times...i havnt played in over 6 months but damn...its like riding a bicycle. i lost my disc on the move and need to reinstall but my dsl here in seattle will be good enough too destroy you rebel scum...
