I really think Tracy wants to stay here in Houston. Mainly because his family is settled here and his children love it here. Why would he want to leave a city which he calls home. He sold all his property in Canada and Florida and permanently became a Houstonian. This is the thanks we give him? Yeah sure he has been a pain in the ass. Lets please just not talk about things we do not know. Tracy has been busting his ass all offseason for the betterment of his career and his team, the HOUSTON ROCKETS. Please don't say he isn't on the court because he doesn't work hard.
Man seeing Iverson coming back is really itching me to see Tracy McGrady to play.... You can see it in his eyes on the sidelines that he's ready, but Adleman wont let him. Honestly, I see BS coming from Rick's mouth, He doesn't want him on the team especially after the arguement. If they dont want him, trade him.....So when he plays us he bites our ass...
I disagree. I think you guys are reading too much BETWEEN THE LINES of what Adelman said. From those quotes, I don't see Adelman having "zero interest in playing McGrady" as the source claimed. Again, maybe Adelman is being diplomatic. But he is not known to be diplomatic about players he doesn't like. That said, I wish Morey could pull off a trade and end this TMac saga so Clutchfans can have some peace finally.
The question is this, what happens if Tracy has a set back and becomes an untradeable asset. Then we are stuck with him and have no leverage until later in the summer. I really believe the organization has no intent of letting him play before the trade deadline.
That doesn't matter, his contract is all that is tradeable right now....injured or not.... No one will trade for his talent because he is an expiring contract and can walk at the end of the year. DD
I really think Adelman is just finally asserting himself as coach of this team. Last year it was Artest and T-mac and Adelman couldn't say no. I think he's like, screw that, I'm the coach, I will decide. He's going to make T-mac earn his way back, and I have no problem with that. T-mac has been great in rehabilitating and getting back from the surgery. But what Adelman is going is the best thing anyone has ever done for T-mac. He's forcing T-mac to grow up. He's forcing T-mac to be humble, and realize that it's not about what he wants. He's forcing T-mac to be the consumate t-mate. I never thought that T-mac was selfish or not a willing team mate...but he has always been a self-absorbed prima donna and this experience is going to make him realize he is just another part of the wheel. If T-mac can't get over this and can't make the adjustments, then I say , trade the dude. Because I agree with Adelman 100% here. I read a very tough but fair attitude from him. Seems like T-mac is being quiet for now. I hope he listens to Adelman and takes it to heart. Seems like that is the case, but we'll see.
Well yes because the reports were pretty much positive. But we don't know. You may ready between the lines, you may not. I am so tried about that situation. But we will see. I just wouldn't be suprised if...
How can you tell how he's going to perform if you haven't seen him go up and down?...he' doesn't look 'too bad'. That doesn't sound like someone healthy to me, in that case why play him when you know he'll just get hurt again?
I sure hope this isn't the case...if it is then this isn't going to end well. I still think people are looking into drama that isn't there..Tmac tried to force Adelman's hand by talking to the media and dressing for that one game, which was really weird (is the dude on drugs?)...now some people think Adelman's trying to teach a grown man a 'lesson'? I don't buy that...
So basically, Adelman feels like T-Mac can't even outperform Budinger right now? Ouch! No wonder the Rockets won't let him play. If T-Mac can't even school a rookie known for mediocre defense, then playing him would obviously destroy any trade value he might have had beyond being an expiring.
That last quote by Shane says it all to me 'we haven't seen him go up and down." That tells me he is 'at' practice with the team but not out on the court during the scrimmages. Coach is right on this one.... he has to be on the court getting up and down to show he is healthy enough to play. How do you expect the coach to put him in the game before he has seen him getting up and down the court? Just shooting 3s on the court and dribbling around a little bit is not NBA ready... Until he shows he can run and jump he will not be playing. He can pout all he wants to, this is for his and the TEAM'S own good. We doing alright without him right now anyway......
I've never thought any differently. I still think T-mac can be extremely valuable to this team and should be given a chance.
