I think taking back Martin and unloading Daniels Covington and anyone else wouldn't be that bad. Martin could be a good 6th man for us.

I don't know if that offer will cut it, but I'm all for getting Kevin Love out of the Western Conference (if he doesn't come to us).

Props to Minnesota for not allowing Golden State to absolutely fleece them.

Warriors GM (speaks into phone): And we'll give you Thompson.

Minnesota GM (on other end of line): Aaaaaaaaaaaaand a future first round pick?

Warriors GM: Sure. And a first round pick.

Minnesota GM: Aaaaaaaaaaaaand you take Kevin Martin off our hands?

Warriors GM: Sure---er, you know, let me check on that. (covers mouthpiece with hand; asks owner) They want us to take Kevin Martin, too.

Warriors owner: In exchange for what?

Warriors GM: I don't know. I think they just want us to take him with our trade exception.

Warriors owner: Uh-hunh. Tell him this, word-for-word: "Eat....my....naughty parts."

Warriors GM (into phone): Yeah, my owner says, with respect, we just can't do that, but you have a nice day, okay?

Don't be so sure. Mitch Lawrence NBA columnist for the New York Daily News thinks this opt out is just Carmelo and his agent putting pressure on Dolan/Jackson in order to get one last max contract. He claims Carmelo is ONLY about the money, not titles.

Now, consider the source...yes. But what if he's not wrong?

My goodness that is a horrible deal for Minny. I would just hold on to Love until the deadline if i were Minny.

Love>Melo for me (On this team).
