Would be great for everybody if he ended up with the Warriors. Sure you give up Klay but shooters can be found and splash brothers was fun, but nothing to make you say contenders. With a true big man, a wing and a guard in place, they can go far.
A Curry-Martin backcourt would be... interesting on defense. Not a suprise that the Warrior relented on Thompson. Love is worth way too much to hold up a deal over Thompson. My guess is this info came out of the Wolves camp for the purpose of seeing whether the other bidders would up their own bids. I hope Morey makes the right choice and trade a very good player for a great one.
Love is not that bad, no worse than David Lee. Curry was OK, too, this season but that was when he was constantly getting "courtesy defensive assignments" with Klay guarding the better scoring PGs whenever GSW plays one. Now we'll see if Curry can handle life without a bodyguard cuz K.Mart ain't gonna do that job.
Klay is younger and will get better Martin is degressing. Either way. This works for both teams. Getting a 13th pick this draft is a major deal steal. Curry-Martin-iggy-love-bogut is a great lineup. I'm not so sure about D fence though especially in the perimeter. I guess well see. Also A Rubio - klay - Barnes- lee - prokovic makes a young team lineup. Just a great deal overall. I like it.
Man our rivalry with them is gonna be epic if they land love. Be even better if it turns into a 1 year rental and he walks to NY or LA
Martin isn't exactly guaranteed to start. They'll still have the MLE and their TPE if they want to add defense to the guard spot. I still believe the Rockets can top any GS offer, but perhaps Flip Saunders is simply a gigantic fan of Klay Thompson.
I can't wrap my mind around the 3pt shooting prowess of a Curry-Martin-Love trio with Iggy and Bogut as defensive support. The NBA fan in me wants to see this happen
Chandler Parsons is as good as Klay Thompson. Terrence Jones is a lot better than Harrison Barnes. Omer Asik is a lot better and cheaper than David Lee. Multiple firsts is better than one.
Knowing both teams pretty well, I think you are wrong on everything in those comparisons but Asik being cheaper than Lee.
