I think the smart ones are able to avoid a ton of this. How come you don't see Julia Roberts or Tom Hanks in trainwreck situations for all of this. Sure people are going to talk about who they are dating, and they might get a picture snapped here and there, but it can be avoided for the most part.
Dikembe Mutombo Bill Cosby Harrison Ford Gene Simmons Fatty FatBastard ... .... uhhh.... scratch that last one.
..I'm not seeing the connection with Bill Cosby and Gene Simmons.. There are people that actually want to see Harrison Ford and Dikembe Mutombo fall and fail? From what exactly? They're both in the twilight of their careers..
I would just walk around with a bodyguard who doesn't look like a bodyguard and never talk to the press or anything and just keep walking.
Jennifer Aniston? Brad Pitt? Oprah Winfrey? I don't know, but your question kind of makes my point. Why are you asking for names of well-grounded celebrities? Why would you* want to see anyone fail, whether they were mature or not? Immature people will eventually make mistakes and hopefully learn a lesson, but why revel in it? Why mock people? It's just dumb and pointless. Hmm, probably like arguing about this. * - in general
My question makes your point but the argument wherein it lies, is dumb and pointless? ... i see.. I L-O-L at those three names though.. But, you're right. So, my point : Celebrities hold a great deal of influence on people and the artistic area their careers tread/touch upon. Some more than others. If those some happen to offer next to nothing as a musician/actor/artist and proceed to offer a steady persistent dose of crap as individual people, their popularity is harmful. Be it to one's eyes, ears, nerves or ideology, and it really wouldn't be so bad if they simply disappeared.
I know I could. I think I might travel a bunch and give my time towards good causes. Because that's the kind of celebrity I am.
Because mainly, they live boring lives. If they aren't out partying with other rich and famous people, showing off their naughty parts, getting arrested, having a baby under wierd circumstances, or checking in and out of rehab, the general public doesn't care as much. I would be the same way. Not on purpose, just because doing things that would get me into the tabloids rarely appeal to me.
: That's pretty mean considering she seemed like she was in genuine pain. On topic: Celebrity lifestyle=not for me. I would probably move to England where nobody gives a damn ala Johnny Depp
Being a celebrity means having your life in the spotlight, warts and all. I wouldn't be able to handle it on a stratosphere level, like Britney or Anna Nicole, but I could handle it on a moderate level. However, I have a bigger question to ask, and I would like to hear everyone's opinion on it..... Why is this country so celebrity-obsessed??? Personally, I feel it has to do with an inordinate number of Americans who do not have a life of their own. They worship celebrities because it fills a void in their lives that they could easily fill themselves, but don't for one reason or another.
Hey, she was just don't. Telling that man she didn't wanna have his babies. It's Brad F*cking Pitt. Stupid, stupid move on her part. Plus she's vapid and annoying. I'd be in genuine pain too if I let Brad F*cking Pitt leave me for a younger, hotter chick just because I didn't want to have his kids. Oh wait I'd have his babies in a heartbeat. It sucks that he left her, but they weren't going to work out anyway. I just wish it didn't have to be so public. That must have made it worse.
I don't watch or read any of that gossip crap anyway, so I wouldn't even know what was being written about me, unless someone posted it here. At that point, I might have to actually start using the ignore list.
No question I could party like a Rock Star... Of course, there is the flip side you mentioned, which I'm sure it would get old after awhile, but who cares... Tom Brady just got hit with 18 years...Idiot...
I am not just talking about trainwreck situations. I am talking about the constant reporting, photographing, and writing about your life that comes with being a celebrity. When Julia Roberts was pregnant the media outlets were going nuts over it and fighting over who would get photos of the babies and mom. I think it was 3-4 weeks ago I picked up a magazine and saw a photo of Hanks walking with his son. I think it may be a easy to avoid the trainwreck situations but it probably takes a special kind of person to endure this type of limelight.
England? You mean limeyland? UK, home of the Sun and Daily Mirror? Oh man; they get eaten alive if they get caught smoking heroin while putting their dingy in some shemale roseyhole while wearing a funny hat and spinning records in a lesbo club in east london! England is paparazzi homeland !!!
