I noticed on NBATalk that Brian Grant from Portland will be a free agent this next year. Is there an ice cube's chance in hell we could get him? Now that would be a missing piece!
I'm choking on anticipation. He will be a hot piece of player opportunity, but although I would sell my kid's birthrights to get him in a Rocket uni, we won't get a chance to even look at him. Just an aside ancedote that I thought you'd appreciate .... CD asked about him (Natty-Dred Grant) when Pippen looked like he was going to be traded to Portland in earnest. They asked to think it over. The answer the next day was no. But they upped their offer to include Walt Williams. [This message has been edited by popeye (edited January 02, 2000).]
I know Paul Allen has $$$ to burn, but is there some absolute ceiling on the Blazer payroll that even Allen would have to think about? Mango
Brian Grant will get out of portland. He hates the time he is getting on the court, he is so frustrated. Also i remember Detlef Shrimp was mad that they got pippen because he wanted to start and now he cant. The Bench over in portland is always mad. Dunleavy doesnt know how to coach the bench to let them play.
There just aren't enough minutes in a game for everybody to be happy in Portland. It is not a matter of coaching. Mango
