I am not a Rudy fan nor hater. I am one of those people who gave the Dream credit for the two champioships and not Rudys system. I am sick shocked that noone mentions how Rudys almost blew the gold medal in the Olympics. I guess it was the players that were not good enough in that scenerio also. Oh yeah, they are playing teams have chemistry. Do you guys just like sucking his gonads, or is their anyone out there that feels Rudy has flaws as coach??

Francis would put up even more sick numbers in a offense where it isnt so predicatable, and the schemes actually had a little movement on the court.

Sometimes I wonder if the players simply make silly shot selections becuase there geniunely are no offensive plays for them to run.

I asked for Anthony Mason during the offseason becuase of his toughness and mean streak, and they give us a 40 year old player. The only threat in the paint is EG. That is why teams drive the ball straight down our gut at will.

But I am patient and will wait until Rudy has MT, GR, and next years rookie in the lineup. If he still does not produce, then a change will be needed.

We can make the argument that … well we should not have done this(Dream) or that (Rice) …. But the point is - that is the team, that is what the roster is, and that is what sometimes happens. Change or moving your coaching staff doesn’t change the facts. Our point guard accumulates sick days like a retiring senior government official. We had an influx of kids, including a 19 year-old and a pair of 21 year olds in which we are forced to play, just to hold off the onslaught of a tough Western Conference. Then you turn around and have to start two of them. You have perennial under achievers who are contract stuck to your roster. You want the job?

You make it sound like the players on our roster are there on accident. Where is the accountability? Our starting center (Hakeem) is gone by design. Our starting power forward is gone however his replacement is producing better numbers, especially with the combination of EG. Our three spot is held by Rice who was already hobbling when we traded for him so how is that an excuse? These perennial underachievers stuck on our roster also didn't get there by accident. Again I ask, where is the accountability? Why does Rudy get a free pass for taking the team he had a lot of input in creating to the lottery going on three years now?

    2. All the coaching staff in the world would not be able to solve the Rockets toughest obstacle since mid November. A schedule that offered virtually no time to recoup and practice. No time to familiarize the rapidly changing court players with one another. No time to fix mistakes. Couple these obvious barriers with a decimated roster that required twelve or thirteen different starting combinations. Given that information in October, would you have bet with or against us having a 13 –29 record around All-Star break?

I think the biggest problem that people have with the Rockets coaching is that we're doing the same things offensively that we've done for 7/8 years. Instead of isolating Hakeem down low to go one on one or pass out of the double team we're doing it with our guards. The problem is of course that none of our guards are MVP caliber players. In addition, Rudy's insistence on the continued isolation of players like Moochie while Franchise is on the floor is a total mystery. It seems to me to be the equivalent of Rudy posting up Chucky Brown over and over again with Dream standing in the far corner. We'll all stand around while our ex-CBA journeyman goes one on one. That stuff doesn't fly.

Also speaking of coaching, everyone on that bench is a Rudy disciple. I don't think anyone there has any coaching experience on the pro level outside of Houston. He's growing these coaches out of his philosophies, his habits, and his tendencies. I'm no coach but if everyone thinks the same thing on a coaching staff then it seems there are a lot of things that can be missed when it comes to strategy, coaching, and teaching. Is there any less experienced NBA staff in the league?

I think we need a ruling treeman. I read HE as jerry36. Jerry obviously reads it the opposite. Whom [look at my great grammer] are you agreeing with treeman?
