I can't see why coachbadlee is a hater. I have said the same that Yao needs to retire times before. But there no way anyone can call me a Yao-hater. My post history can prove it. His retirement is for the good of the team and Yao himself.
Agree... It seems like Clutchfans just cannot accept the fact that he's done and are delusional thinking Yao is coming back as an All Star center.
No, Yao is done. His foot is damaged good and it always will be. His playing days are over. I mean he couldn't even make it through a quarter of the season!
He should not even train. The Rockets are morons the way they make him train like that, even before he is even healed.
No but it may change the career mode a good bit. Perhaps a Space Jam or Mortal Kombat scenario if you catch my drift.
When did Yao say he rushed his return. I never once heard him say that. If he said that it would be all over these boards. Please show me where he said that. Otherwise apologize for lying. I think the opposite was more true mangement was being too cautious.Yao was not allowed to work himself in to any kind of rhythm. There stupid minute management was ridiculous. You can 12 minutes but it has to be split 6 and 6. and try to split 3 a quarter. Okay not you can have 18 but no back to backs. Okay we will raise it to 24 minutes but it must be split in 12 minute halves. There was almost no science behind their logic with the exception that the stress of his body weight would be too much for his feet to bear. Stupid stupid stupid. All there stupid strategy was make it take that much longer for Yao to feel comfortable on the court and in the end may have even contributed to his injury by delaying his foot coordination. (Yes my opinion) Yao's accident was not from too much strss but rather a freak accident of him falling back while some big guy came down on his foot. That could happen to most any big.
best scenario, the lockout cut the season into half. Yao got more time rehab; start the season in Febulary or March; play 30~40 games and then in shape when the playoffs start.
If Yao can come back and play, it would be one of the most improbable stories of perseverance in NBA history. I like comebacks, which is why I root for Grant Hill and hope he plays till he's 40 something. I love Yao and will continue to hope for an improbable resurrection of his career that's been left for dead. Is it rational? No. But that's what being a fan of the team is. As long as he re-ups for a nominal amount with incentives for health so we can get some more pieces.

No perfect storm for Yao. Take this for what it's worth. I was told first hand by someone one person removed from the operating room. That at that time of his prior opperation it wasn't a matter of if but when Yao's foot would give out on him again. Also when it did it would be past the point of any return for the big man. There wouldn't be enough good parts left in the foot to repair it well enough for any type of return to the NBA. I didn't want to believe this at first and held out hope for the big man but then I read between the lines. Yao shortly after that bought the Shanghi Sharks during that off season. In my opinion preparing for life after the NBA some what prematurly. Then came back and 5 games in was hurt again. Now he has been very tight lipped about any return leading me no other choice but to think the writing is on the wall and he knows it. I think Yao and the Rockets organization are very much aware of the reality of the big mans future but are unwilling to make it public knowlege knowing it would be a blow to the fan base and the pocket book.
Nah, I don't think it would be good for Yao at all. In a lockout there will be more back to back games on the schedule and less time for rest.
