They could. They're one of the most talented, if not the most talented, teams top to bottom in the NBA. But I don't think they will.

I wouldn't mind watching them lose to the Heat via multiple superstar calls again just for the Cuban-related entertainment value.

That would be pretty effing r****ded. You don't risk your best player (1a/1b - you know what I mean) getting into foul trouble by having him guard the hardest guy in the world to match up with. You just don't. You let Bosh/Haslem/whoever take their turns on Dirk and try to limit everyone else.

If the Mavs/Heat reunite in the Finals I fully expect Miami to win. i hate it, but I have no expectation that the Mavs will be able to body up DWade/Lebron like they've somewhat been allowed to do to Kobe. The Heat will shoot 30+ free throws every game.

Ron Artest couldn't stop Dirk. What makes you think James can?

If the lakers can somehow figure out how to occasionally stop the pick-and-roll, they might get back into this series. Plus they play better with their backs against the wall. Game 3 should be entertaining no matter what happens.

The thought of having to watch a Heat/Mavpricks Final sickens me. Hmmm....let's see....Hitler or Stalin? :(

And it's funny that no one is talking about the Bulls. You remember them? The 1 seed? Did anyone really think we would see a Bulls vs. Spurs final this year? LOL.

Of course they could win it all. They could also lose to the Lakers.

They are in a very strong position to advance to the WCF and would have home court in the next round. They have players with experience going deep in the playoffs, moreso than the Thieves or Grizz. I would pick Mavs over either team to win the WCF.

Against the Celtics, Heat, or Bulls (it won't be the Hawks), I don't know if I would put money on the Mavs, but they could certainly beat any of those teams in a 7 game series.
