Spanoulis did look impressive, but he is still a turnover machine. Also take into account he looked impressive in garbage time.

V-Span is also a better post entry passer. When Jazz double T-mac, pass it out to V-Span, he will be able take the ball to the basket. Even if he miss, it still gives Yao and Hayes a chance for either rebound or put backs. He also forces Jazz to foul him.

Whoa, whoa!! I'm not disregarding anything. I agree with you about the rotation that got us here BUT the guys playing in that rotation are not playing well right now and have a hard time matching up with some of what the Jazz are doing. I think giving VSpan some minutes could help in this regard, that's all.

And, everything you just mention is exactly what I said VSpan could do.

My assumption has nothing to do with anything he did tonight. It's a style of play and things he brings to the court that, in my opinion, match up with what they are doing against the Rockets.

This is not a thread based from an over-reaction to 1 loss. I still like the Rockets' chances in this series. It's just 2-2. I have faith in JVG, Yao & TMac to turn things around going home. It's just an observation.

That's absolutely the fxxxing JVG's fault. As a coach, if you can't even see the potential of your player and give him play time to develop, you can never go deep in play off games.

Fire JVG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

boki's dunk on malone is still one of my favorite playoff moments.

I think boki could give us a spark like he's been giving to the nets this year. too bad JVG let him get away.

Like everyone has said. It's too late. Maybe next season (IF he's still around)

Where's DD? This is his specialty...

    Sadly I agree.

JVG has made his boat, he is the captain, and he will sail it into the 2nd round or the soup line.

The whole second half was garbage time, but no one impressed me other than V-Span.

Other than Tmac, so we can have legimately two slasher on the court to draw fouls.

Snyder is a poor free throw shooter

Good post. Rafer,Luther and Lucas have been jokes offensively, too.

On the otherhand if we can come up with another offensive player among the limited set of players that can be JVG guys, we can advance. Maybe we can trade the first rounder and filler for Mike James. I dohn't know. We need another offensive player who can step up. Bonzi might have been the guy, but not with JVG. That is not to say Bonzi was without fault.

It's NOT time for V Span!! He should go back to Spain and play Euroball.
He just does not fit the JVG mold and never will. Either he resigns or we trade him away. This makes me think.Boy we have quite a bunch of players who need to be dumped! Never thought I would ever say that!

It's too late now. Even VSpan can bring the offensive and defensive abilities you mentioned, he will make relatively too many rookie mistakes because he didn't play enough time in the regular season. In another word, he won't be an X-factor in the playoff. It is JVG's fault, and many fans here have already pointed it out countless times in the regular season. The debt has to be paid off.

The only hope Rockets have now is for the short rotation to play with a winning heart.

    what harm would it do????
it's not like luther or JL3 are doing THAT much of a better job with the time they're getting....
Deron williams is doing whatever he wants, so why not try it for a few seconds and see how it effects them.

i believe vspan can still contribute, but he has to be given explicit instructions not to pass, just drive to the hoop if he gets the ball.

Totally agree...we will win Game 5 and 6 to take this series, but we will not get anywhere close to a championship, we have not play good at all in this playoffs and are very lucky to be 2-2. We have trailed at the half in every game gotten blowed out in the last two and lack consistent scoring after the top two players. Far as the future don't know what will happen....

Something tells me Spanclueless didn't win any favor in JVG's eyes by chosing to make a between-the-legs Look-at-me! pass in the waning moments of a frustrating playoff game. There's a time and a place, and this was neither. The reaction shot of T-Mac on the bench was priceless. Learn a lesson, Billy: rookie scrubs do not go hotshot in such situations.

I've tried and tried to like V-Span, but he seems bound and determined to try to make the NBA game adapt to him, rather than vice versa. At least Boki had that part right, and now that he's finally figured things out, he's a good role player.

Battier should be on Deron and if Rafer is not needed then start synder (and don't you wish right now Bonzi could have worked things out)

forgot about whining fetta cheese man, if he is getting playing time then the playoffs for the rockets are several minutes from being over

So are we going to hire Larry Brown in the offseason if JVG is fired? Who do you suggest?

I think if the worst case playoff scenario were to happen. The ocahc will be lloking for a new team before Spanoullis will
