Not at all. In such physical games with Jazzs, the referee won't call Vspan a lot fouls since basically the Jazzs are doing the same thing to us without being called.
I'm not so sure about that. I must say I do like the way V-Span fouls though. The "foulees" seem to wince, grimace and they genuinely look irritated. I haven't seen him do anything dirty (ala Stockton), but he seems to dish out more punishment than he receives.
no he just sucks as defender....ever heard of Muggsy Bogues or Calvin Murphy...Allen Iverson...Mark Price...Earl Boykins these players were all above average defenders....defense is 90% effort.
if head isn't making his shots like he is doing then surely vspan could at least fluster deron on the defensive end? cause head sure isn't. just give him instructions not to pass.
Considering the "production" of some of our bench players tonight, I fail to see how VSpan could hurt any more than the nonfactors we had sporting Rockets jerseys tonight. God, I'm sick at this. "Rockets in 5" my hindquarters.
Luther Head is shooting 28% from the field and 24% from 3 point land against the Jazz in this series. Rafer is shooting 35% from the field, and 33% from the 3 point line, and barely 1 point per shot. Oh, good news, he's only committed 16 turnovers! Stupid VSPan only shooting 50%.
The only way VSpan sees the court is if a ballboy gets injured. he has to EARN his minutes and he hasn't done that.
The f***ing coach has to let Vspan play. The truth is there, if we can't drive to the rim, nobody can score, nobody has even good looks. Last game we won simply because Tmac drove like crazy and the whistle blowed when there was a foul. If we have Vspan keep driving to the bucket with Tmac, the Jazz has to clapse their defence, we'll easily get chance to shoot open 3s. Since the touchs of our shoots came back in game 5, we would have finised the serial today!!!!!!!!!

it's beyond that now. jvg need has no options left either let deron keep coming at him or start blindly chucking whatever is close by and hope something will slow him down.
it's game 7 I don't think anyone should expect anything from vspan. 88 games go by and now its like " oh Billy go in there have the game of your life and help us get through the first round". not gonna happen. when he should have gotten minutes he didn't get them. hopefully the Rockets get through and go far in the playoffs (cause they can) and Billy get his time next year.
I honestly think V Span is done with for the rockets. Where ever he goes he will haunt the houston rockets next season.
