I would too were it not for the fact that we have 4 other PFs on the roster on their rookie scales still.
You are right, he is closer to top 10. Defense is so unbelievably underrated. Let's see what Daryl does, now that we have the best offer for Josh Smith, if we choose.
do you think Marcus Morris will be the franchise superstar the Suns have been desperately waiting for?
No where close. If Robinson is moved in a trade for anything less than Love or Aldridge i'll be extremely disappointed. I think his potential level is just as high as any guy behind them.
See, I doubt teams are chomping at the bit for Robinson. He hasn't even played full season for Sacramento yet - what if he turns out to be a stud? Sometimes a player needs to be in a new system to flourish. And for the poster(s) saying that Smith is in the top 10-15...wtf? Maybe if you just count defense, sure, but name 10 players better than Smith, overall.
He is and I almost agree. I dunno about top 10 because I'm not looking at numbers, I would go with top 20 for sure. Josh Smith's defense is that good and his handles for a true pf are that good.
Why does he have any less potential than anyone other than Love and Aldridge? The guy has been on a terrible Kings franchise for half the season, no one has any idea what hes capable of in the NBA.
Nope. Not top 10. Harden Kobe Lebron Melo Durant Aldridge CP3 Griffin Parker Wade Bosh Westbrook I feel like I could go on and on of players I'd take over Josh Smith. Not even counting injured guys like Rondo, Rose, Kevin Love.
Of course people know what he is capable of, that's what the draft is for... Plenty of players have potential....plenty never make it.... I love this move by Morey, I'm glad that got a person they wanted from the draft on the cheap (think what we would have given up on draft night). I just Robinson as another piece until he brings it consistently.
T Rob, moti, jones, and white. That's too many young developing Pfs. Something is going to happen tomorrow.
How the hell is Smith a top 15 player? If that was the case you wouldn't be hearing all this buzz about him thinking he was a max player.
I don't think an acquired player can be traded within 30 days of the being traded. Deadline would be over by then.
Billy King is not our GM=) Morey would look dumb if he failed to re-sign Smith, especially when we have sufficient cap space to sign Smith as a free agent this summer. I don't think Morey wants to be in the Nets' situation.
