I'd prefer DMo, but I'd take Jones over Casspi.

Patterson would actually be a good fit :). His biggest weakness (rebounding) would totally be masked by Howard/Asik.

It is crazy to me that Casspi beat out both of these guys, but I got to say I like the way he looked in the preseason and last night. I was really against that signing, and always thought that DMO and Jones were destined to be solid NBA players this year -- but Casspi is getting it done. I really like how he and Chandler play together, switching everything. I like how smart and confident he is playing so far.

I'm sure the Raps would do that deal and while I am advocating moving DMo/TJones I wouldn't advocate moving them for this. Now if Toronto threw in a first rounder....different story.

And..while Novak is a fit...his contract isn't. We don't need his $3.?? million gumming up our cap next year and being difficult to move out if an opportunity presents itself. Would love to have Novak..but only on an expiring deal or a minimum salary deal or a non-guaranteed deal for next year.

They would have to give us a pick or two with it...

    I just vomited. Thanks.

Seriously, the more i think about it, if Beverley is starting, then the best person to play at the 4 would be Motiejunas. His scoring fits well in that starting line-up.
If Lin were to start, then it should be Jones because of his defense.

In other words, one has to make-up for the other.

    A more likely trade scenario:

DMo/TJones/GSmith to Philly or parts unknown:

    Evan Turner to Minny

    Derrick Williams to Houston.

If Philly wants all 3 of our guys, they have to at least remove the protection from that 14 second rounder they owe us. That would be a great scenario for us. Second rounder...but basically a first rounder in an average draft...on a super value contract plus Derrick Williams would fit a whole lot better than the other 3....plus you can flip Williams later if you need to along with Lin or Asik for an even better fit.

If you send one or more of DMo/TJones/GSmith elsewhere you have to get back at least second rounders...and possibly a future first for DMo. I think DMo is the only guy that holds first round value right now...if he even does.

need one og these guys to step up, dont have to be a major threat just play your role, dont want the rockets to have to have to trade asik after we just resigned both of these guys. We need the 48mins of rim protection howard will be in foul trouble playoffs

That's a fair choice, however it would help if Jones could ever stay healthy for more than 5 minutes at a time.

Ok, lets give up 3 decent young PF prospects on great rookie contracts for one decent your PF prospect on maybe the worst contract in the league..... makes total sense.

Please stop suggesting the Rockets trade for Derrick Williams. Production and skillset wise, he is pretty much Matt Barnes without the defensive intensity. The Rockets would still prefer to go small or super-sized, and they would be stuck paying Williams 8 MILLION dollars in 2015/16.

For someone that is so freaking concerned with trade value it still boggles my mind that you keep insisting the GARM buy into your idea of trading for this guy.

Dmo's potential is too high for anything you could get for him, got to hold on and see him out....

He is not worth trading at his low contract.
