if we could trade lin for manu straight up, i'd do it. if we could trade harden and lin for parker and duncan, i'd do it. if we could trade lin, harden and mchale for a time machine set to 1993, I'd do it.

TROB/ASIK/LIN for DWIGHT and Steve Blake. Blake's contract is expiring and would be an excellent backup PG for Beverly...

If Houston want Howard so bad, then you can just make an offer to the Lakers they unable to refuse. Lin/Asik/Parson/TJones+cash for Howards/Nash

OR, MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, we don't have to give up our second best player, starting point guard, starting center, a legit prospect, and cash, for a player we can sign outright, without giving anything up.

But maybe my idea is far fetched...

Houston don't make the same mistake as you did the last time you let go of Lin. Kid got a lot of upside. It was just too bad that injury hindered him to play at his best during the playoffs. It would be beneficial to Howard if Lin stays as he can run PNR so good.

    MAYBE, but highly unlikely.

But anyway, back to the topic here. Many here think if you just package with equal monetary value is all you need to get a trade done. If we offer more in monetary combine value of Lin/Asik/TRob $20m for Howard $19m, the Lakers will takes it because it 'benefit' the Lakers. How about Knicks offer Stoudemire $21m for Lin/Asik at 16.6m?

First who is Marc Spears and how does he know what all of the GM's around the league think. He doesn't. It's just his personal BS and his opinion has no more value than anyone else on this board.

When the Rockets got TRob for the price we got him for every GM thought it was a steal. Since we signed him Trob showed some signs of improvement. He is not ready for prime time but he still cn be an elite rebounder and he is an explosive scorer and transition player. And he does have a few moves around the basket that need to be polished.

So why would every GM go from Houston got a steal to that guy is pathetic. The fact is someone will bet on TRob and will give up something to get him. And Marc Spears is blowing smoke up his ass.

As for Royce of course someone will take him. You have to pay that someone to take him but that's easily done. You pay them 2 million and a second rd pick for their conditional top 55 2nd rd pick and it's a no brainer. That team basically gets a free 2nd rd pick and a little extra cash after they buyout White. No brainer.

JLin isn't getting traded for Dwight Howard. No need to say more. End of discussion. The end.
