accordin to nbatalk, celts might be tryin to get ainge in the front office, and if thats the case, he'd look to trade antoine walker. maybe that is the hold up.. we have to wait for celts to get ainge first, then we get walker! id love to see antoine here, much better than the wizard, and he can actually rebound a little. francis, mobes, anderson, motay, toine, and LANGHI thats a great lineup. sorry if this was mentioned in one of the 400 post threads, but honestly, i just kinda stopped readin those after the first few posts. ------------------ people who are related dont have to look alike. my mom and dad dont resemble each other at all
Why exactly would Ainge trade Walker?? ------------------ "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Gandhi
Rocketspimp: actually, i have been keeping an eye on this story, and Ainge actually despises poor Antoine. It´s almost a given that he would trade him. But obviously as the Dream or any other player we are willing to offer won´t put the celts in the playoffs, i don´t expect us to have a chance in this, IHMO. ------------------ "I have posted so much that what I say must be true"
yeah ainge blasted walker and said the celtics treat him and pierce like franchise players, but they're really not. ------------------ people who are related dont have to look alike. my mom and dad dont resemble each other at all
Ainge may be right. I tend to agree with him on Walker at least. But its hard to evaluate players when they're force fed a system (by Pitino) that none of them are capable of implementing. Unless they get a decent coach, they're not going anywhere. ------------------ "Thirty-seven?" -Randall, Clerks www.clutchtown.com
Pierce got stabbed 11 times and has come back to be the best player on that team. Walker is also a very good player. The Celtics have had enough talent to make the playoffs(with the exception of Kenny Anderson who I believe is highly overrated), but have lacked the coaching leadership. Will Ainge help bring that to Boston? I doubt it. Ainge is nothing by a whiney little b!tch, IMO. I never liked the b*stard and still don't. If he went to Boston it would strictly be a PR move much like MJ going to Washington. ------------------ "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Gandhi
I don´t like ainge either, but it was Pitino and his bad personnel decision that blew that franchise up. If they still had Fox, Mercer and Billups, the celtics are a completly different team. ------------------ "I have posted so much that what I say must be true"
