Dudley on a bad contract? I guess as "bad" a contract as Asik and Lin.

2 more years at $4.2 million(and that 2nd year is an early termination option).

To much logic and serious analysis. Let's just throw positive vibes out there and hope it sticks.

    Lebron to Houston...**** YEAH!

Why is anyone worrying about how much cap space a team has? If Lebron, or any other studly, leaves there is the SnT route.

This is the NBA. Stuff happens.

Their defense would fall off a cliff tremendously.

It's happening?? :p Fwiw, it doesn't look like Beverley follows any players that aren't/weren't his Rockets teammates...

If they could just remove those 3 from their roster, it would give them 10 million to sign Lebron. That's if they don't take back any salary. Remember, Davis and Collison have player options next year and Dudley has a player option the year after, making him hard to move. Jordan would be the easiest player to move, but after that, none of the contracts they would need to move are expiring. Also, trading everyone excluding Griffin, Paul, and the two player option players would seem to be "blowing up" the roster. Not to say they wouldn't do it for Lebron, but it would be way harder for them to do it versus what we need to do, and in my humble opinion, Harden/Howard/Parsons/Beverly/Jones is better than Griffin/Paul/Davis/Collison.

ok then I guess Bill Simmons got his cap math wrong lol that's what I was basing it off of. Also, collison/davis have said they will opt out already, so I believe that gives them even more room already, not sure how much more though.

Lebron isn't going to play for the Clips if they have to gut that many major pieces to their team to get him. Bosh playing center was one thing, but BG playing center.... might as well be Lebron.

Also.... he's going to take HALF when everything is said and done... scratch LAC off the list and put that stupid rumor to rest. Simmons being Simmons... trolling Lakers fans.

Beverley needs to follow Melo, Love, and Bosh just to cover all our bases. :p

Lebron has already seemingly let out that he doesn't want to play with ball dominant point guards.

Also Riley has pretty much already said no to s&t's

Take the Delorean back 4 years ago, and post a thread on the GARM about how the Rockets were going to have two superstars in 2014 and looking to make a serious run at Lebron.... oh and the Rockets are probably the #2 or #3 destination in the league for him in that race. Id love to see the fan reaction to that wild claim.

Kevin Love is a better defender at PF than Harden is a defender at SG.

First, Kevin Love at least pays attention and gives effort while defending. To the extent Kevin Love doesn't contest shots as much as one might want him to because he is trying to position himself for the rebound, it's not an entirely unreasonable choice given that getting defensive rebounds is an important part of defense, too (and a part of defense which the Rockets fall short in) and that Kevin Love doesn't have the best vertical leap or body length to make a contest from him all that devastating.

Second, if you look at statistical measurements like ESPN's real plus minus or xRAPM, Kevin Love actually has a positive overall impact on defense while Harden is among the very worst.

Also, consider this: Kevin Love's Wolves have essentially the same defensive rating (points allowed per possession) as the Rockets do-- and the Wolves largely worked without a rim protector all season. Their only real defender of good repute is Ricky Rubio, and Adelman tends to sit him a lot, even in crunch time, in favor of the 5'9'' JJ Barea. Corey Brewer isn't that great a defender any more (if he ever was), dude just gamble for steals and hustle for fast breaks nowadays. They also play Kevin Martin a ton of minutes.

Stop derailing this positive thread. You do know LeBron and Kevin love don't even like each other right? Kevin Love is irrelevant to this. If you want to make it about him vs Harden, bump an old thread.

Yea! Only positive posts allowed in our day-dreaming about Lebron positive thread!

In fact, lets only allow positive posts in this positive board-- except for posts made against popular targets like McFail and Lin!

You can talk about how LeBron has gone to 4 straight finals with the Heat, but who says that continues? Look at the team now, they are getting older (Ray is almost 39), Wade has declined massively, Battier retired, Chalmers is a joke.

You can't possibly tell me that's more attractive than Houston.

The point is Love is also a bad defender. Generally fairly bad. Not horrible like Harden... But really bad. David Lee like bad.

Rebounds don't mean much to me. We can just roll with the twin towers if we just need boards. And defense really... Which is part of the point that we do need more than just that.

Kevin Love would be an amazing get... With Harden still on the team.

Without Harden, absent some convoluted, far fetched never happening plan to trade Harden for Love and sign a Melo or Lebron... What's the point in even discussing? The Rockets backcourt would be way too weak to do any real damage without Harden.
