He isnt coming to the West...yes they did lose but honestly they werent really challenged on the road to the finals
The whole East-West thing is reaching absolutely silly level of attention. This year, the Heat WITH LeBron won 54 games in the East. And LeBron made it known that he shouldered too much of the load. This year, the Rockets WITHOUT LeBron won 54 games in the west. And if they add LeBron, the only important pieces they'll lose from last year's team are Asik and Lin. Yes, the west is tougher. But you know what? LeBron/Harden/Dwight/Parsons/Beverley would still be by far the most talented lineup in the entire NBA.
You guys just have to remember why and what happened when LBJ went to Miami. Maimi had Wade who argueably the best guard at the time other than Kobe. Wade was a proven championship player along with Bosh, a very solid 4. Now that dream is gone and done. Wade is no longer the player he once was, he may end up having bilateral knees surgery of some sort, which no guarantee he will return to what percentage of his old form. Bosh is on a decline, and so is James but at a very slow pace. James isnt all about money, he made more money from sponsors then what he made in NBA season. Not to mention he is willing to take less pay. Rockets has the pieces to lure James and all the sponsors he ever wanted. If somehow we can land Melo and then perhaps trade Harden for James, if James is willing to leave. I doubt Miami would rather lose James for nothing. Not to mention, harden is a great piece for them to build around as well.
Trade for melo, cut every bit of cap space we can, send harden, howard, and melo to recruit james and melo and james take paycuts until howard and harden can take some paycuts and they can all even out... Howard/Anyone James/Anyone Melo/Anyone Harden/Anyone Anyone Championships until retirement.
Only way the money works out is if all 4 take a huge paycut (to ~$14M) or Wade takes the minimum for a year, heat sign Melo to the max, then after 1 season (using his bird rights to go over the cap) Wade is signed to a 4 year max contract (which will allow him to recuperate the lost money). That is a majior leap of faith for Wade though, because he has no legal agreement for them to pay him max money after the first season at the minimum. Miami could just cut bait, and he could end up royally screwed out of significant amount of money.
I specialize in NBA 2K14-type lineups. It would be like team USA in Toyota center 41 times a season. But yes I realize its impossible and they probably wouldnt work out together lol
Just saw that lebron wants to go to Houston or bulls if he leaves, and he's not willing to take a pay cut to stay with the heat, we may have to sign Melo for less then trade for lebron, it's already understood they want to play together
Have a link? I just imagined Hakeem coming back to play for the Rockets as Howard's backup. It was an acid flashback. (It was a "return trip," wasn't it??)
just ran into lebron in the bathroom at the airport. he flashed me the wu tang sign, which looks like half an H. this definitely means, lebron is coming to the H ! heard it here 2nd!
For those from the H it's on slimthug's IG, he didn't link the article @hogglife101 just put up a pic, Stephen A. is confident they want to play together if a team could get it done, and woj mentioned us as a team that are planning to make a pitch.
