I think the Rockets need to explore Deke and Yao on the floor at the same time. The Rockets need a banger. That would give the opposing teams fits in the middle.

    What a terrible idea.

    (1) We'd have two players with limited lateral movement instead of one.

    (2) We'd have the same problem we had last year with Yao and Cato - the PF of the other team was allowed to sag down on Yao, because of Cato's incompetence on offense. Our PF needs to be an offensive threat. Not a stud - but able to hit the 12 foot jumper. Deke can't.

Well our Pf problem is just as bad as our PG problem. At Pf we need a banger someone like OT. OT and Charles was our last true PF. Not this SF crap and play small ball.

Why don't we just move five trees on the court?

Deke plays better as a Center, and he can't play any more minutes than we are playing him right now.

Howard is coming around, give it time.

yeah just slow yo roll on the extremist actions. Have you noticed Mutumbo hasn't chnaged his ways of constantly clogging the post and wanting the ball even though he's offensively limited? Similar to Cato in that respect.. luckily the Rockets haven't given in to giving him the ball. Aside from all the obvious reasons, we also don't want him taking up position or touches from Yao

i don't think its that bad of an idea. Everyone in the nba drives or shoots a three. I think the result would be a whole lot more jumpers or low percentage shots from the perimeter.

you have to follow up with why you think yao and deke share the same qualities as robinson and duncan, because the two pairs are drastically different.

Mutumbo is too important coming off of the bench. If he doesnt then we have Mo or Howard playing center and in my opinion it doesnt work too well. If we had one more shot blocker and Mutumbo was a little younger and quicker it would be great though.
