Lol Lee would mop the floor with the MMA "professional" fighters. It's like comparing Whitney Houston to The Voice contestants.

Jose Aldo would destroy Bruce Lee.

I think any guy in UFC or Bellator also whips Lee. The problem is Lee did not have any kind of grappling base. If he went against a wrestler he would get taken down and he wouldn't get back up. I would imagine any judoka or bjj practitioner from his time would whip him too. Are there any videos of him sparring with a muay thai guy from back then?

Yes, there's no magic MMA, it's like any other sport where people who often have superior training, skill, intelligence, and athletics succeed. If he gets about a half of year or years worth of training and exhibition, he'd be an incredible MMA fighter, especially in his weight class. You have to remember MMA has only recently caught on, and alot of fighters were mostly great at one discipline, not necessarily two or three...wrestling, martial arts, and striking (boxing).

With 6 months of training he would still get destroyed on the ground and would get taken down repeatedly. If you don't have any kind of significant wrestling or grappling base then you won't pick it up in 6 months.

That's the thing, not all MMA fighters are great wrestlers to begin with, besides you picked the lowest end of that spectrum.

    Let me clarify the argument:

Those that believe that Bruce Lee would lose in the MMA, they believe that the MMA is greater than Bruce Lee.

Those that believe Bruce would kill anybody in the MMA, they are really pitting Bruce against a fighter, not MMA as a whole.

Conclusion: if you are an MMA fanboy, you likely believe that Bruce would lose.

In his own weight class, with the proper training, maybe, but a heavyweight would have destroyed him.

This was 50 years ago by the way. I don't give a **** if it was boxing or mma bout in his weight class, Bruce Lee would be unstoppable.

You realize of course that all of that is fake WWF style acting... right? The one-step punch knocking the guy into the chair is ridiculous -- if you think that's real I don't know what to tell you.

    It's called Sparring dumbass.

Well yeah because he's been dead since 1973? If Bruce Lee were to compete back in the 60s in his weight class, umm yeah he'd be unstoppable, don't hate, respect.
