Sounds great, Buck. Holt fits the tailor made + pedigree...and he's versatile. As to Diane...I LOVE that UH is finally in the mix for legit stud centers. It's been sooo long. Serious sign of the times.
Not a fan of this but i guess you can rationalize it by saying its not much different than those euro guys that come to college ball after playing in a pro league. College sports is so nasty.
He made it very clear that UH wasn't the for sure option or even the favorite. He also said that other schools were more interested in him. I think he is a good college player with some upside to be more - but I am also not surprised he is going to Stanford.
A breath away from the national championship last season; that's a hard act to follow. I guess you could win it.
Looking forward to a great year. A bit nervous tbh, not with this game, but in general. The torch is being passed and we will be depending more than I would like on our three freshmen, Cenac, Flemings and Harwell. We do have Sharp, Uzan, and Tugler coming back as starters. What can we expect from Mercy Miller this year? Same with Chase McCarty and Ramon Walker. These three guys will need to step up when they are needed when we get into the meat of our schedule. No more Jwan, LJ, or Javier. From what I am hearing we are going to a faster paced offense. Jojo and Cenac shooting a high volume of threes may take a while to get used to. Maybe not so long as long as they are hitting a high percentage of them. It may take a while to click but as long as we play great defense and avoid injuries it should be another memorable year.
Listening to the radio broadcast. I love Elvin Hayes as much as the next guy but geez man. I truly feel for the play by play guy, who is actually pretty good. I feel for him. It’s time for Elvin to give that mic up. It’s sad.
