Seems like a lot is riding on how much Arceneaux can play When he's been fresh, we've looked our best. All of our bigs are non shooting but with Terrence playing the 4, we can take advantage of some matchups. I'm glad they are taking it slow with him, but we desperately need some production off the bench.
Execution under pressure is less about skill and more about confidence. We do need to improve our requisite skills, no doubt, poor execution right now, but we also need to improve on the ability to pull the trigger against adverse results and fear. Escape skills will give us the ability to attack without fear under pressure. We are missing that right now. Risk aversion. We need to learn how to finish without fear.
Good to see I was not the only one that watched yesterday's game. We are still a work in progress. If we can keep Arceneaux healthy, and CKS can teach Milos Uzan to defend using his body more and hands not so much, if we can find a little more playing time for Mercy Miller, and if we figure out how to be consistent on offense, and if we dominate the boards like we did last night, and if CKS decides to play our bench more. Lot of ifs for me. But the sky is the limit for this years team. Still a bit nervous after watching us blow double digit leads in each of our three losses. Only three games left before Big 12 play begins. I hope we are ready. Repeating as league champs is not going to be easy.
I kind of like being the "outlier." When you win every game and go into the last part of the season undefeated, every team circles you on the schedule.
This is the precise time to play UH Hoops at 15-1 to win it all. We won't see a better price all year and if they stay healthy, it'll likely happen.
Pope scored 41 points in the last 23 minutes he was on the court. He had 1 point at that point when he started, about in the 3Q
Even tho it was Corpus, this was our best performance of the season. Our defense was high energy. And the offense had direction, ball movement, and shot making. Complete performance.
I'm by far no SEC fanboy, regardless of where my Horn allegiances lie, but I just looked around and it's ****ing ludicrous that the worst team of 16 (record-wise) going into conference play is 10-3 (1-2 against ranked teams) South Carolina
