Well in coaches interview this week, he was unwavering in his belief that Houston was going to have a good point guard next season. He clearly believed something was in the works. So maybe him and Mom have already been planning.
Next year's squad is like a ****in tank ready for someone to take the keys and drive. We will get an elite PG, the question is who.
It’s funny cause I’m not naturally good at it. I’m super naturally good at motivating people and caring a ton… but coaching hoops and seeing it like a game of chess is absolutely something I see plainly that my son is soooooooo much better at than me. That makes me want to be better at it…but I’m just recently leaning back into what I know I’m naturally good at which is making sure those kids know I love them a ton and that I’m failing but still trying right along with them this simultaneously has nothing to do with this thread while also having a lot to do with it for me anyway lol
Dedan Thomas has now posted a set of pictures with him in a UNLV uniform. That doesn't look good for UH. Maybe UNLV stepped up with a sweet NIL deal?
Something is going on with Thomas. I'm not sure what happened, but UNLV is back in the running to keep him. I'm not sure anything is settled either way yet. He would be a very good Shead replacement, but UNLV isn't going to give him up without a fight.
The new info is that it's not money, it's about the team around him. There's a specific recruit, that if UNLV signs him, then Thomas is staying. UH supposedly has a backup plan of a couple of PGs who are not yet in the portal. Wade Taylor is suppose to be one of them. Who knows how this will play out. Regardless, UH won't announce anything until Shead announces that he's leaving.
