This all comes down to maintaining a pipeline of above average starters to compliment whatever star transfer we sign.
Got a big commitment from Caleb Mills out of North Carolina today. https://247sports.com/Player/Caleb-Mills-46056579/ Sampson has yet another North Carolina player committed here. Mills will probably jump into being ranked as a 4-star recruit at the end of this month due to all the big-time offers he's recently received.
I was just about to post about this commitment. This seems to be another huge signing from what I am reading. He had offers from a lot of P5 programs.
its going to be some really good games vs some of the projected top teams in the nation oregon, lsu, cincy
We just got a commitment from Marcus Sasser 6'2 guard from Red Oak,Tx. If his name sounds familar he is the nephew of Jason Sasser who had a cup of coffee with the rockets in the 90's.
We look like we can shoot. I like so far. Lots of positives to take from the game. Bigs played well. Davis looked like he took step forward. We pushed the ball hard up court. Brooks was on fire. It was perfect chicken eating weather. But we've seen all these players get small against defensive talent, so more to come. Good start to the season.
this team should be good enough for another tourney appearance. they don't have that #1 go to guy but different guys are stepping up into bigger roles to compensate. the oregon game is going to be fun
Coach has said he feels this group is deeper even though we don't have a go to guy like Rob Gray on this years team.
Armoni Brooks moving from 6th man to a more featured role this year in the starting lineup. he definitely has the green light now. Hinton is taking that 6th man role this year as a true freshman
I love how honest Sampson is in his interviews. Not much "coach-speak," he actually says what he's thinking. This team should be much better come January.
Does anyone know if there is a way to watch today's game against BYU? BYU favored by 1.5 points. Should be our first real test this year. Surprised it's not on TV somewhere.
One of the players I was hoping to see this year was Fabian White. I did some research and noticed he has not played a minute this year but he is listed on the roster. Do you know if he is hurt or something?
He had surgery on his foot in July and the team is taking it slow bringing him back. He's still in a walking boot, so not sure the current timeline.
