    Great victory.

The southwestern conference was the worst thing that happened to the cougars Basketball. I think it’s the first NCAA victory in the tournament since 1984. That is 34 season....

Cougar basketball is alive and well. Go Coogs!!!!

The Gray performance should open up opps for everyone else for a few games, but the best thing the other team can do is let us run that Rob Gray offense because it just took the steam out of the machine for the last 3 games. If they try to stop Gray that will let us flow.

This reminds me of the Reşat Fırıncıoğlu era of Houston Cougar basketball. Showtime!

Does anyone know if something happened to Brady? No shots for the game. Didn't play many minutes. I don't remember him leaving with an injury. They could have used him to bang and keep other bigs out of foul trouble.

Amazing finish by Gray but shouldn’t have been that close. Questionable calls and two goal tends missed by the refs. Seemed like SDSU took a trip to the line 7 straight possessions.

WTF are you talking about in regards to the SWC???

Back in the Phi Slama Jama days those battles with the Hogs were EPIC (as well as in the 70's with the Triplet's and up until they left to the SEC).

On top of that TCU was EXTREMELY tough as well and always played the Coogs close (early 80's).

The SMU Koncak teams were good as well.

Being in the SWC wasn't harmful at all.

With new facilities and having a solid foundation, I think we'll finally be able to consistently recruit the size and length that some of these other teams have. We really struggled grabbing rebounds against SDSU tonight. There's not really a team in the AAC that presents the challenges SDSU has, and Michigan seems to have that kind of size as well.

The administration needs to get Sampson a raise, cause he has laid the foundation of consistent success going forward.

That was an amazing, NBA-level final shot. Y'all have a Kemba Walker-style player on your hands in Rob Gray.

That said, how many of y'all were yelling "NOOOOOOO" when SDSU got that final look? I had no interest beyond my bracket and found myself yelling "OH NO, HE GOT A LOOK!" at the end of the game.

For the ball to end up in their best players hands, with a good look, and a silky shooting stroke, scary as a mother f'er.

I hope this game gets Gray on the draft board. It would be hard to ignore a guy who can put up 39 in an NCAA game, carry an entire team, and hit two clutch shots with no other threats to help. His high release and quick step are all nice attributes. He can pass and rebound. I'm not sure if he would make it, but he's better than Dotson and he's still on the Knicks.

It was a definite NBA-style clearout. I mean, D'Antoni runs the same kind of plays for Harden at the end of the game. Evidently, the plan was for Gray to be fouled. That pinwheeling up and under was sweet, but the ball sure seemed to hang out on the rim for about half a minute. Maybe Gray has a future in the Association, but probably he'll ultimately prove too small. Who's he going to guard?

SDSU's long launch was definitely a better look than I'd have preferred with one second on the clock, but you have to be absolutely sure not to foul in that situation. But I mean, how many times has that shot gone in during tournament play? Way too many to relax your anus.

No one else on the team made a basket in the final 15 minutes, 59 seconds.
