We could be in for a long run if we hit that championship next year. Sampson might go another 5 years before he turns the keys over.
Nah. Kelvin is very likely to finally retire after his current deal is done after 26-27. He won’t make kellen wait much after that when he’s been offered a number of jobs and has turned down bc Kelvin wants to give him the reigns in a few years, which is already in place
Yeah, it's easy now, for things have come to fruition. Finally, where they belong. Over so many years, legions of us have waited, as patiently as possible. I'm just glad I get to see it in my lifetime.
I already assumed this kid was high energy with good character, who always have a place on this team and fits the culture. The "stars" still don't matter with Kelvin and never did
Kellen did state recently he is fine with waiting however long pops wants to go at it. You never know.
Actually no. He does want a head coaching job hence why i said he has turned down offers already within the last 2 years. He has put in the time and has worked very hard to carve his own path and method but time is ticking and it’s basically set for kellen to take over in 4 years. And this isn’t coming from any type of guess or speculation
I'd be very happy if he stay another 4 years. He'll be 67 in October. I was just putting out a random number of years that we might have him around and you treat my comment like it was way off base. Dial it back a tad YOLO.
Woo hoo! Love that we are recruiting the 5 star and 4 star recruits. Kelvin finally getting real. We got 4 now. Steppin. This might just get us over the hump. We are right there.
I think it’s too soon to say that, and Wilson probably isn’t going to influence his decision either way. Sasser is probably having the time of his life right now, but the Coogs are set for a special season that has got to be mighty tempting unless he hears incredible things from NBA teams.
Sasser is announcing his decision tonight around 7-8pm. Kelvin will speak to the media tomorrow morning
