We are getting taken to the woodshed today. And getting locked in it. They will need to take over athletically for a stretch to get back in it.

    Biggest problems
    - They did not come out with the same energy
    - This is the 3rd game they just let one guy kill them over and over again.
    - The smarter team is winning tonight. Expertly running their offense.
    - Sasser still dribbling off his leg.
    - Not getting open shots.

Wisconsin playing well so far. Credit to them. This UH team definitely needs games like these especially early in the season

UH -8 2nd half. That bodes well for some level of a comeback

Think one of the challenges we will always face is that nobody in the AAC can shoot, so our defense is never really forced to adapt away from the trap. Tonight. We must stay in front of everyone. No doubles.

Now this is more like the UH team in this 2nd half

I'm sure Sampson had some choice words for the team at halftime.

They learned a lot tonight. Very good. Just adapted a little too late I think.

Down 20 with 20 minutes left, down 5 with 5 minutes left, down 3 with 3 minutes left...

Lol, so I guess the shotclock doesn't reset if your layup hits the underside of the rim

    Classic freshman mistake Shead

But UH -8 2nd half was easy money

Hot take here but if we avoid getting down by 20 in the first half of games, we might be ok
Should probably make more free throws as well

Wisconsin was so fundamentally good. They aren’t the better team, but they played a very good game and were the better team today. Houston beats them probably 8 times out of 10, today just wasn’t one of those days. Their number 34 was tough as hell too.

We need more of 2nd half Kyler Edwards this year. Too passive at times for a team that can be limited on offense.

If Sampson could teach a team how to hit free throws he'd have like 3 nattys by now.

    Or run a half-court offense

I tried to watch some of Oregon/St Mary's but that 1st half was brutal. I played in middle school games with better offense than that. 23-15 at halftime?

I think I would have used my timeout when I got that rebound for the final shot...but Sampson has forgotten more about coaching than I'll ever know.
