Other than that blowout loss to us, Cincinnati has either won or been within a couple of points in all of their other conference games this year. They have been a pretty good team the second half of the year and have a couple of freshman that looked good when I watched them today. Depending on whether Williams is available for them tomorrow that spread may go down a little.
Cougars with some stressful wins -- I feel like these games shouldn't be so close, but it's March so anything goes.
I got stuck listen to the game on the radio. I love Elvin but he is not a good broadcaster. Come on Coogs get that banner!
Like Drexler, I will remember the Big E most for his legacy as an unbelievable basketball player at both UH and in the NBA. Maybe after basketball he should have pursued a career as an NCAA ref. He couldn't have done a worse job than those clowns did in the 2nd half of our game against Memphis. Among many missed calls I still can't understand why they reversed that call allowing Williams to stay in for Memphis. Lets hope the refs are more fair and balanced today.
Outside of the Thanos blip they played well. Sasser is playing better, with more confidence, but some questionable threes during the blip. When in a blip get the ball to Grimes or Jarreau and live with the Keannu Reeve consequences..
Eat em Up!! Memphis will be a tough out if they make it. That said, they had help from the officials...Ellis was out of his mind, and we helped them. Gotta clean things up. Time to crush Cincy again and roll into the NCAA Tourney. We are a legit threat to win it all...as is. If we had Mills/Hinton.... 5th choice @ 17 - 1
What tastes better bearkat or zebra? I am sure there are some cougars that would have loved to have eaten alive those zebras for the way they called the second have of our game yesterday. Some of it is on us and we need some improvement and some adjustments if we are going to make a deep run into the tournament. Still, that was some crappy reffing.
The officiating was bad throughout...subtle attempts to stop runs. This has been par for the course all year.
I eat my Beartcat with Hot sauce. Get ready for an oustanding 40 minutes. And then we send them to their weekly Falcony lessons. And yes, it's a total massacre each time.
