Lets focus on our needs! POINT GUARD!!!!

We have to change at PG in order to be successful in the regular season or the playoffs. Rafer although has flashes, just doesnt get it done. The numbers don't lie. He's at the bottom of the barrell in terms of starting point guards, and he gets quality mins on this team. There is no excuse.

We have to take a look at what kind of deals are out there for the likes of Andre Miller, Jason Kidd, Mike Bibby, Kirk Hinrich, Juan Navarro, Jose Calderon, Sam Cassell, Jarrett Jack, heck even Earl Watson.

If you're giving up Bonzi, you need another wing player. And I like Miller on our team more than Maggette.

I'd love to get Miller but realistically, they aren't gonna trade him. The only realistic trade with the assets we have is Cassell.

If you're Memphis you do this trade in a second. You gain servicable players in Snyder and Wells. You pay for Francis and take a chance he comes back strong. If you're Houston you're a complete idiot for making this offer.

Calvin Murphy had the Francis surgery scoop. If he's on the money with his other rumor, iea trade for Cassell. Then we just have to hope Dunleavy senior sees something in Mike James cause that's looking like the only way Morey will deal.

That would be a great trade for us. Solves the Mike James problem and brings us the Pt Guard we need. Solves the Clippers problem and gets rid of an aging guard and gets them a younger one with some gas left in the tank. Little do they know that M. James doesn't have his jumper anymore.

idiot trade for memphis because theres about 10 teams that would trade for M.Miller if all it took were expirings. it'll take young talent + draft picks as well as expirings to get miller.

So we agree either from the Memphis or Houston perspective that this is a dumb trade.

I'd like to know the take on this:
    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...~29~10~23~23~29~23~29~29&te=1715:10-630&cash=

Consider what each team gets in return for what it gives.

This, of course, is predicated on the prevailing sentiment that Memphis is intent on shedding salary and that Sacramento intends to accommodate Artest's trade request.

    HOUSTON:

Incoming - Mike Miller, Mike Bibby, C. Jacobsen

    Outgoing - R. Alston, M, James, C. Hayes, B. Wells, S. Battier, K. Snyder, 1st rd pick

    MEMPHIS:

    Incoming - C. Hayes, B. Wells, K. Snyder, S. Hawes

    Outgoing - M. Miller, C. Jacobsen, 2nd rd pick

    SACRAMENTO:

    Incoming - R. Alston, M. James, S. Battier, 1st rd pick, 2nd rd pick

    Outgoing - M. Bibby, S. Hawes

no the idiot trade was memphis and LA memphis got nothing back of course mr. really smart man you have to throw in a pick but it wouldn't be but one considering they got two from LA for gasol which we know gasol is worth more out there than miller is. memphis is trying to free money up so the team can be sold they do not want to take on contracts if you haven't noticed

I wonder why so many peeps in here want Sammy when he is slow, still has that attitude problem and doesnt create much. I am not a Sam hater, I am a big fan of his. But he got burned bad by mediocre Rhondo last night and Sam looked horrible. WE NEED ANDRE MILLER I am tired of the small guards we have on this team. The Rox cant forget about D fense either. Do something!

Man i love Sam i Am, the shot he took at Rondo should never have been a flagrant 2. He just slapped him across the head, no big deal. It shows his intensity which i love !! I'm amazed at how many people rather want a Forward, which doesn't necessarily need an upgrade, instead of a PG which we desperately need to upgrade. Battier is coming around so the Forward spot is fine even though i would love Artest for his intensity (the new Maxwell :D) I like Rafer but he's too incostent to be a starter and like many people stated before: every great team in the West has a great PG. Cassell is still a great PG, Rafer is not. Believe me, if we get into the playoffs and face the Hornets / Suns we will definetly lose just because of the PG spot.
CP3 and Nash will kill us !! Just wait and see if we don't get a new PG.

Daniel Gibson would a great PG too because he has shown what he's worth last year in Cleveland and imo they don't show any respect to him. He should be a starter imo.
