Villar made more mental mistakes and bad defensive plays today and Correa left today’s game without sustaining an injury (strange) and Villar was pissed off leaving the clubhouse and didn’t answer reporters questions. Connection? I sure hope so! I guess we must wait and see. http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2...are-speculating-about-a-carlos-correa-callup/
Not sure if there is a connection, but Villar's time on active roster is definitely limited and spot on 40-man is in jeopardy.
I think that with Correa's mini slump at AAA, the Astros are justified in waiting it out 2 or 3 weeks at the earliest. Maybe they wait till some time in July or afterwards if Correa shows, it isn't just a mini slump. One thing about Baseball, is that each level gets exponentially harder. Much like an Earthquake, a Category 1 is just that. But a category 2 is 1,000 X more powerful. And so on an so on till you get to a category 10 which would probably shake the Earth off it's Axis.
I don't think Villar is at fault for getting thrown out at home (other than I don't think he busted it out of the box).
There is a big jump to AA and a big jump to MLB. Jumping from AA to AAA is usually not that big of a jump.
People/Analysts/GM's/Scouts are saying a Correa call-up will happen before June 27th. Which at the tail-end puts the latest call-up by the Yankees series starting the 25th in Houston. Wouldn't that be something? I think he will be up before then. I honestly think Luhnow is biting tooth and nail to get him up. He will be up soon.
Although no line-up has been released for tonight (tinfoil) I expect the Astros to give us a few days notice of a call-up in order to pack Minute Maid.

Either a day off to clear his mind or.....
Or the Astros want him to have a day off now while he's in Fresno so he can play more in Houston during the push for the playoffs.
Rangers recalled 3B Joey Gallo today to take the place of injured 3B Adrian Beltre. They seem to be going for it thinking the division is winnable. Hoping the decision to keep Correa down - however long he is down in AAA - doesn't come back to bite us in the rear this season.

By shear dumb luck I found this. Checking out a flight to see what gate it comes into tonight. and look who's #1 to be upgraded to first class. As always, could be someone else...but we shall see.
Why would the Astros not accommodate their future star? I highly doubt it's him, but we can only hope....
It's also possible that it is him and he's coming to Houston to visit team doctors rather than join the team:

Carlos Correa out of lineup today. At any rate, that's the flight I'll be waiting for. Friend coming into town...so i'll have to see with my own eyes.
Which would make sense, if he was pulled early last night and was coming to Houston, he would have had to go to Fresno to get his stuff and then to Houston late today.... Of course, i'm guessing he could afford enough new clothes and stuff to get him by here for a bit if he didn't go get his stuff
