Your next post (#19) hits the nail on the head as to why we don't see a high volume of corner 3's .... we just don't have a primary ball handler who has the gravity to pull that defender ... My post was more about the narrative of the overall forum than just this thread and not so much directed at you but I piggybacked off of your post .... that narrative is overwhelmingly anti-Silas. Statistics show many of the complaints people make are misconceptions talking about how bad our schemes are .... among other things. Bad scheme's don't generate the most dunks in the league or the highest percentage of open / wide open 3 point shots in the league. (and doing it with KPJ getting the lions share of the point guard minutes) Just looking at Jalen Green's shot chart .... he took 444 3 point shots so far 389 of those came with no defender within 4 feet. That's 87.6% of his total 3 point shots. K-Mart Jr. took 160 3 point shots. 156 of those came with no defender within 4 feet. 97.5% .... That's setting your players up for success. Eric Gordon - 301 3 point shots. 290 of those came with no defender within 4 feet - 96.6%. Its little wonder EG shot the second best 3 point percentage of his career at .412.... and .040 points better than any year with Harden. Players Shooting Dashboard Closest Defender +10 | Stats | NBA.com I find those numbers to be a credit to Silas.
Maybe give John wall a shot to play pg….since we are paying him anyway? I’d add rebounding and defense to your list, but strong post OP
