Intersting story regarding Maggette, ESPN was doing this program on the Clippers last year called "Sidelines" in which they followed the younger clipper team all year. There was all this behind the scenes stuff shown. It was really cool. In fact it would be ideal to feature the Rockets and Yao Ming this way. Anyway, in one of the last episodes the players were cleaning out their lockers and the interviewer asked some people what they are going to do this summer etc. When Maggette was asked, they asked him if he planned to play some golf this summer. He said, "No way, I don't have any time for golf, I gotta play ball and get better!" Bottom line, Maggette has worked hard each summer to get better and it will pay off with a big contract this summer. Have to respect that! Chris
Statistically, Magette is the better shooter this year, which is what we're talking about. Corey: FG% 44.4% 3PT FG% 34.3% Rashard: FG% 44.2% 3PT FG% 32.2% Beside that, just watching Magette improve over the last few months on NBA league pass, I've seen a lto of what I saw in the first quarter last night - the ablity to be a spot on deadly shooter. Add his athleticism and muscle, and you have the reason why his stock has gone up soo much.
If anyone saw him on Wednesday...he is awesome!!!! He is strong looking...he can beat anyone one-on-one. AND HE CAN SHOOT!!! He's a pretty darn good player. Good attitude too...
As a side note Maggette suffered a twisted ankle over the weekend and is doubtful for tonites game against the Lakers.
Geez. And there are guys that workout 5 days a week and still have a gut. It's all about the genetics.
