Here are Corey Brewer's FG Stats the last 17 games. GS: 1-8 SAC: 1-3 MIN: 1-2 LAL: 2-4 PHX: 2-3 DAL: 1-9 OKC: 3-10 CHI: 0-7 CLE: 2-5 IND: 2-9 TOR: 4-5 UTAH: 4-6 OKC: 1-6 ATL: 0-3 LAC: 2-6 MEM: 0-4 a grand total of 26-90.... that's 28% shooting
I was definitely not happy to hear he'd be starting, but the guy can suddenly catch fire and turn a game. JB may think that's the only chance we have. It clearly backfired yesterday. I feel like Josh starting makes the most sense, for both rebounding and defense, and if he hits a 3 or two its completely worth it. Beasley has to get more time, maybe at the 3, and D-Mo showed more grit than anyone, gotta give that guy some burn too. Brewers is just literally the last option.
Maybe it's just me, but at what point does personal pride kick in and a player says "This is embarrassing. I'm going to the gym and not leaving until my shot is better."
I can only imagine the ether morey feels for resigning him. And then JB constantly showcasing him and driving down the value of CB.
The man is due. The laws of average are about to average his abuse of the law. Hey, play CB heavy minutes and let's raise his trade value! That's working out well...
I am walking over to the Watergate as I write this, to investigate, because some shiat is going down between Brewer and Bicker that needs some light shed on it.
This is what bugs me the Houston media are so cowardly, in Philly, Boston, NY, they would be asking those hard questions. Instead the Chronicle gives us nothing but fluff. DD
These ain't JB's decisions. None of these are. Just like people think the POTUS is the one who is in charge.
He kills our offense, yeah he can run back in transition but half the time we are having to run back because he has clanged another brick from the corner. Harden's skip passes from one side to another are a great weapon be because it exposes the help side defence if teams double. But so often he makes a great pass but the defence decides to leave Corey Brewer free in the corner because he shoots so badly. You can't run a 4 on 5 offense, and that's basically what we have with Brew in. McDaniels is a better defender and whilst it's a smaller sample, he shoots .333 from the corner 3, as opposed to Brewer's .291 in their time here at Houston.
