Joey Crawford would have sent his ass to the locker room if he got in his face like that. Much too lenient on Griffin.
Brewer didn't flop. On one replay, it shows Brewer got hit in his head when going up for the dunk. He was saying he got fouled and hit Blake, then he got pushed.
Brewer was trying to celebrate and accidentally made some contact with Griffin. Griffin gives a light shove back and Brewer flops/exaggerates. Still, it was a great dunk overall and a good win.
I love these posts. Did Ariza hammer poor Blake when Blake lowered his shoulder and tried to do a somersault with 15 seconds left?
I really hope morey finds a way to retain Corey Brewer. He's the heart and soul of the bench unit. He's a game changer off the bench. Those guys are not easy to find.
Yeah, that's what boggled my mind. It looked like a clear And-1 on the dunk, and I heard no whistle. Then suddenly, there's a double tech. Griffin yelling so loud, the viewing audience could hear him was one of the most hilarious, pussiest things ever.
no its not that I dont think the NBA has hate for Houston. the nba is about marketing itself for money. I mean the way Griffin got into the refs face -- like directly in his face and yelled so loud that all the TV mics picked it up that should have warranted a T alone. Some refs would have probably double T'd him up for that. Yet nothing was called. I mean at worst it should have been a double T and then a T on Griffin for those things. But back to the first point -- this was a true national TV game where the entire country was watching. It was one of the league's brightest stars' Griffin in his first game back. There was no way he was going to be ejected in that sort of game. The backlash would have been huge - but it didn't give him an excuse to act the way he did. If anything it was probably good - if he didnt get ejected - no terrible play at the end to turn the ball over and who knows what else. But a tleast the world saw what a complete bunch of cry babies that entire clippers team is.
Yep. When I heard Griffin's voice on TV, the immediate image I had was little kids on the playground running to their moms crying, "He hit me! He hit me!" I couldn't believe a grown man with world-class athletic abilities would do that.
