He won championships (collegiate level also) to back it up

He isn't a go to guy but he had seasons of 12, 13 ppg and is still young enough to get better.

Every time a new wing player join, he got hot in rox red.
    Garcia, Hamilton, heck even Ariza.

    Hopefully Brewer stays hot.

Ariza is a better defender. And if brewer got starters minutes he wouldn't be able to fly around recklessly as much.

Agreed. Brewer appears to be the better defender at first glance because of the steals and deflections but he also gets caught out of position where Ariza isn't flashy, just solid and reliable.

Also agree about Brewer being able to be more Brewer-esque with fewer minutes. I'd say 20-25 minutes is the sweet spot for him on average. I feel the same way about Wolverine but we don't have that luxury just yet.

Totally agree here. Brewer in his current role as a lightening bolt off the bench in limited minutes is perfect. Not sure he would be as effective if given more minutes. The Rockets needed that "lift" while Harden/starters are on the bench and so far Brewer is delivering!

I really believe having these change-of-pace guys off the bench is almost a necessity for a Championship contender. Whether it be scoring, defense, rebounding or just near super-human raw effort and energy we all know those guys when we see them. Brewer brings a different style and certainly a different speed that completely catches the opposition off their guard despite everyone in the building knowing what he brings to the table. It's one thing to know it's coming but it's another to change up your mindset to stop it when the flow and pace of the game has already been established.

Brewer reminds me of guys like Jamal Crawford and a young Carl Landry who come off the bench and look like they are playing a different game from the other nine guys on the court. Certainly, Brewer is nothing like either of those guys when it comes to skill or position but he has the same effect on the game. By the time you adjust to them they have stolen the ball three times or scored nine points or pulled down seven boards all in a couple of minutes before they go back to the bench, rest up, and try to do again once the pace of the game adjusts back to what it was before they stepped onto the court.

It's a beautiful thing to watch.

He's hot right now but watch everyone turn on him when he goes back to his usual self. He's a career 29% 3pt shooter.
