Gaffney was a FA. Also, word out of Cincy is that they will probably match the offer given to Walters.

Man, Millen really is the Zeke Thomas of football. What a terrible contract.

well bradford has already proven that he can't do it.

might as well take a chance on an undrafted free agent as opposed to a scrub like Bradford.

Knowing Matt Millen he probably will draft Santonio Holmes with their first round pick so he can keep the wide receiver tradition going.

I didn't realize 85 catches and 1,295 yards -- over the last THREE years -- earned you a 4-year deal, an average base salary of $1.85 million, and a $2 million bonus. Good God. Were the Lions even competing against anyone else for Bradford's services?

So do we have an outside chance of still landing David Givens?

Which means Casserly's returning volley will be to find a way to trade Andre Johnson for Joey Harrington.

Word is that he is close to signing with the Titans. The Chron basically said that we won't have nearly enough $$ to sign him after the recent signings.

That was the 1st thing that came to my mind. The Lions are alreay overloaded with college All Star WR's. Joey is just keeping them from the next level. Maybe a trade of DD or even less since it seems like he wants to leave.

McNair runs a squeaky-clean team, and Charles Rogers was suspended for substance abuse. I'm gonna go with "no chance" on this one. Plus, Rogers is an injury waiting to happen.
