From kffl.com - Lions | Bradford signed to four-year deal Mon, 13 Mar 2006 12:22:21 -0800 Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the Detroit Lions have signed free agent WR Corey Bradford (Texans) to a four-year, $7.4 million contract that includes a $2 million signing bonus.
Exactly! Matt Millen is competing with Casserly with Worst GM of the Year Award. In fact, I would think that WR is the last area that Detroit needs to address given that they have spent the last 3 first rounders on WRs.
So for right now, AJ and Gaffney. Soon to be added - Walter and maybe one more WR (I think from the draft). If not from the draft, who from FA?
Rogers' injury- and bong-related issues probably is going to lead to the end of his tenure with the Lions
If he gets dropped, I wouldn't mind taking the Texans taking a flyer on Rogers. What do they have to lose?
After Peerless snubbed us last season, I dont have a lot of confidence in FA's chomping at the bit to play here......unless Casserly pays them insane $$$
Wasn't Gaffney released as well? Right now it's AJ and Mathis, we also signed Walters, but man do we need another WR badly. I would rather have kept Gaffney than sign this Walters guy. Givens would be perfect but..."Because the Texans have signed defensive end Anthony Weaver (five years, $26.5 million, $12 million signing bonus), quarterback Sage Rosenfels (four years, $6.4 million, $2 million signing bonus), fullback Jameel Cook (five years, $5 million) and Walter (an offer sheet for four years, $6.4 million), they are unable to offer close to $25 million for Givens."
I wonder if we end up trading our extra third to a team for a number 2 WR. I would also entertain the idea of resigning Wells if they draft Bush and trading DD for a good WR or a guard to replace the very mediocre Wiegart.
