Please read my post...Im not defending what the police or the force does is right. It is just an opinion. But I am not anti-police because they pissed me off.

Hell the Fire Department is getting it now......surprised?

this is a weird post. I mean, I think we know that every group of people have cool and interesting people. (Either that or you don't care about this thread)

It'd be like a white person getting reverse-discriminated against...and then me saying: "I've met a ton of white people in my lifetime, and a lot of them were cool. What a shame."

I guess the point is, your 2 sentences shouldn't really be put together. They have nothing to do with each other.

I never said you were. I said you "deflected" the discussion away from the real issue - which is the lack of accountability cops face for these actions.

Sure, not all cops are like the assholes in these articles. But it's equally easy to state that most cops are not going out of their way to rectify the abuses appropriately. And that's what really pisses people off. Without a form of rules and punishment, there is no way to inhibit future repetition of these sorts of abuses. Assoles exist all over - but that doesn't mean they should be defended as "inevitable" - espeically when you're talking about a group as empowered as the police.

I hear what you are saying but to me, it's like this: which is worse, disliking some cops who are actually nice guys or trusting cops who will **** you over?

I'd rather miss out on that really cool cop friend.

Once upon a time I was a minor in college. I was watching Texas play Arkansas on TV and had a cookie in my hand. Some ass opened the door for a cop, when the cop came in he told me to grab a beer (on the table) and come out. I said no several times but finally grabbed that beer and went outside. Yada yada yada went to court and ripped him and his neck tattoos to shreds. But its this kind of behavior...
