The ceremony for 22-year-old Omar Abdel Hamid El-Hussein took place at the premises of the Islamic Society of Denmark following Friday prayers. According to Danish media, some 500 people had gathered for the ceremony. The coffin was then taken to the Muslim cemetery in Broendby, south of Copenhagen. The gunman first attacked a cafe hosting a free speech event on 14 February, allegedly trying to kill Lars Vilks, a Swedish artist who has received death threats for drawings of the Prophet Mohammad. Though Vilks was unharmed, a 55-year-old film maker participating in the event was killed. Seriously, outside his immediate family which I can understand would still rationally grieve for their child even if he was a psychopath, the rest should be on some serious surveillance. They deserve our discrimination and shunning if they believe this man is some sort of hero.
