If you were ever wondering about COMNEBOL's corruption, just look at this child referee they put in this game. This dude doesn't know basic functions of a game and has no business being part of a crew at this level.

Fire Berhalter - he is an idiot.

I know the players like him but he is just not good enough, bring in someone with bigger experience.

A country with 100 times fewer people just beat us 1-0.

clearly an offside goal - but we were not a threat....

George Springer, Jeremy Pena and Reed Shephard would probably be elite soccer players… if they weren’t good at other sports.

bring in a coach that play pulisic as an AMF instead of a winger.

but the thing is, US doesn't have quality winger when you move pulisic to AMF lol. the amount of time it took Mckennie forever for release the ball or cross it while on the wing is frustrating.

pulisic is the only one who can create, beat 1v1 and retain the ball. let him play the AMF and be creative.

Berhalter should be fired before he leaves the building

Slept on it and I'm still pissed. As unbelievably bad as the refereeing was, this wasn't on them. Yes, I'm still amazed the Uruguay goal was given...but the US took 3 total shots. They have no offensive creativity and are not put in positions to push. They obviously knew what was going on in the other game and needed to push higher to try and get a goal...and they never did. They never put Uruguay on their back foot. Same in the Panama game. Even a man down, you're supposed to be the more talented team...not the one that cowers into a shell from the 18th minute. Against Bolivia...a team with our alleged talent should be winning that 4 or 5-0. Not get 2 early goals and then sit back. There is no identity any more. We used to be the team that might not have been the most talented but we're going to out work you. Now we have talent but no structure and no discipline.

US Soccer said they're going to do a strategic review. Wonderful. So Gregggggggggg gets to sit back for another 6 months only to have them decide it's too close to the World Cup to do anything. In the 2 major tournaments he's been the head coach, we've won 2 out of 7 games...and those were against Iran and Bolivia. It's not f***ing good enough any more to win a Gold Cup or this pointless Nations League. If this team...made up almost entirely of European based players...is really talented enough, then it's the coaching holding us back. Berhalter needs to be fired and US Soccer needs to do something bold. Throw a bunch of $ at Pep or Carlo Ancelotti. Tell them they can have this last season with their clubs and then take over next summer. 1 year is enough for these coaches to prepare for the World Cup. I'm not the biggest Klopp fan but I'd even give him the same opportunity. Take your year off and come in fresh in 2025. There is absolutely no US based coach I would even remotely consider at this point...and that goes for Jesse Marsch.

Weston McKenna is a turnover machine he is a day late and a dollar short on everything, he needs to be replaced permanently - Adams, Gio and Musah should be the starters in the MF....

Play a 4-3-1-2 with Pulisic at the 10 and FFS play 2 forwards.

Completely agree. If 1994 was the "coming out party" for soccer being a viable pursuit in the US, 2026 is supposed to be the "soccer is thriving in the US" tournament. It's a complete embarrassment that Gregg might even sniff a chance of coaching this team in 2026. Going out like this in 2026 would be a catastrophe.

We were all rightfully aggravated by Klinsmann, but he wrung a lot more results from a lot less talent than Gregg has managed.

Klinsy was right about a lot of things (getting more players to Europe earlier and railing against pay-for-play) but even he wouldn't do well with this current team. He is a terrible tactician, too. Maybe not as bad as Greggggggg, but that's not saying much of anything.

You are right. But It's been 40 years, and I have never once said to myself in all that time, wow, we got talent, and we got a guy. So no strategy can be judged as failed until we actually see that talented guys are being misused. There's not once been a guy who can create something out of nothing.

    Zero Creativity.
    Zero Improvisation
    Zero Shot Velocity and Pace
    Zero Finishing
    Zero playmaking
    Zero Dynamism

And that's been over 40 years since we got on stage.

The teamwork, ball control, and shape has improved over several decades, but it's still shaky in comparison to the juggernauts.

So I just can't take it too seriously until we have real talent. Disapppointed. Not Frustrated.

Really didn't like the comments from the players after the game, especially Matt Turner. Shows a terrible attitude from the top down. Get the coaches the **** outta there.

I'd replace Adams in the midfield. He's not physical enough, gets pushed around too much for me.

The US isn't overcoming the massive talent gap with the rest of the world with a few tweaks to this team.

They can now that we have Presidential Immunity.

The president can simply have the military force athletes to play soccer as a core presidential duty.

Messed up against Panama, loss vs Uruguay was expected. Even with the win over 'em, would still finished 3rd

No they're not...but the talent gap isn't as massive as it used to be. It's now coming down to strategy and tactics. Unfortunately, no coach on this continent is good enough to take them to the next step. I firmly beleive the current batch of players has the ability to get at least to the quarterfinals in 2026. But they do not have the leadership or tactical ability right now. They've stagnated under Berhalter. They are no better than they were when he originally took over. All that's happened in that time is mexico became a s*** show and Canadia has improved. We're still #1 in CONCACAF...but that's only slightly more impressive than winning Oceania at this point.
