I don't have cable now but I did when The Wire was current. Like a lot of people The Wire is the best drama ever but I'll separate it because it can do a lot more being on HBO I'm a huge Law And Order guy. I think it has an advantage over everything else because of the prosecution angle. It helps keep it fresh.. I really didn't watch cop shows till the mid nineties with Law And Order. I started watching NYPD Blue about ten years ago when a station ran reruns. When it was current for some stupid reason I didn't watch it because it was associated with the disaster of a show Cop Rock. The way Cop Rock was made fun of by critics I was like I'm not watching any of those shows. NYPD Blue ended up being pretty good. I watched Hill Street Blues reruns. Good show, very eighties. Lastly I watch Chicago PD. It's good but it's over the top . Not outlandish storylines but outlandish violence. It's what made me think Law And Order has an unfair advantage with the prosecution angle
Meant to add Law And Order has an unfair advantage because another show can't copy the format with the half investigation half prosecution. Everyone would say it's a ripoff
Homicide: Life on the Street, especially the first few seasons, had some of the best stories and acting performances. Andre Braugher, Jon Polito, Melissa Leo, Yaphet Kotto, Ned Beatty, etc. Heavy hitters. Lots of other well-known actors pop in… There’s even an episode with Robin Williams and Jake Gyllenhaal (directed by Gyllenhaal’s dad).
Totally forgot about that one. Dick Wolf does most of these shows . LandO, Chicago PD, FBI, and Homicide Life On The Street as well as The Wire
SVU is one of my go to show`s with Benson and Stabler, it's always on somewhere and as a matter of fact I watched like 4 hours yesterday on the Stabler marathon. Hill Street Blues was really good, but it doesn't seem to get the run on TBS and the like Olivia Benson was a looker I tell ya .....I can't confirm it but as some point I think she got a boob job
I'm sure you know her mother was Jaynes Mansfield who my mother one day was telling me she also was known for her breasts I like Detective Rollins
She hasn't aged well but my favorite Law And Order character was ADA Jamie Ross An old boss and I were discussing her and he liked her too, we were comparing her to the ADA Claire Kinkaid he told Carey Lowell who played Jamie was a James Bond girl
I love the show The Good Wife, the detective Rollins actress played one of Kalinda's lovers and it's funny that there are a lot of good looking female lawyers in real life. I started a thread about how I worked in First City Tower where Vinson Elkins is and I used to see Amanda Edwards when she worked there before becoming a council woman. I saw her get out of her car and she had her Emory and Harvard label's on her car saw I looked her up. Seven years later when she was running for council she was on Kambrell Marshall's talk show and I wasn't paying attention. I would see her campaign posters and I thought she was attractive but didn't make the connection She told Marshall she worked at Vinson Elkins and what she did there and I was like THAT'S HER
Cop shows can be addictive. Checking out various shows maybe on some free sites like Youtube Honest - You might want to invest in Roku - Internet is all you need I find myself in cop shows and crime shows among the sci fi and comedies I was big on detective shows Esp the Quirky ones like Psyche, Monk, etc But that does back to the old Simon and Simon, Magnum P.I. and Remington steel days Rocket River
I hated ADA Southernland the most She was just a b*tch I never got into SVU because they cheat too much imo They always seem to break the law as much as the criminals but it's ok because they got the "right" outcome Rocket River
I remember Southland, haven't thought about it in a while. I remember it starting out really well and it looks like it didn't last long
Thanks this is awesome. I had heard of her and knew she was a sex symbol before my mother said that to me but didn't know the full extent Definitely see why her breasts were a big topic especially in those days
