I dont condone that he did that... but you cant put your hands on a cop...and i dislike cops myself. And notice in the background of all the low-life scrubs taking videos on there phone... ghetto superstars.

 

So, the cop-defenders are critical this time and the cop-haters are sympathetic. Weird case.

Anyway, I don't think I see a lot of actual disagreement here. I don't recall anyone saying punching the woman was the right thing to do, whether morally or tactically. The disagreement is over what question we're answering. Cop sympathizers are answering whether the cop was abusive, while critics are answering whether the cop was proper. You'd agree, no doubt, that a punch to the face was improper. Would you also say a provoked punch was abusive?

 

Would you rather they had jumped in on the action?

I pretty much agree with this. It was improper but I'm not calling for the guy to be fired or reprimanded, maybe take some more CPI training or something like that if necessary. I still don't think if provoked, police officers should be out duking it out though. They're trained to know and use other methods.

Bull ****. I would have been filming this myself. The two women were out of line, but the cop was an idiot. If he ever gets out from behind a desk, there is no justice.

that's a bit extreme. Unless of course, he hates walking the beat and he would rather be behind a desk. He shouldnt be punished or repremanded any more than a talking to and a class or two about dealing with trash. I just don't think you punish the guy for being provoked by some POS of a person.

Next time he should just pull the taser and be done with it. Those videos are much more entertaining anyways...she looked like a screamer too
