Not really sure why you want to bash Mad Max personally when he hasn't done anything to you, and was very nice and gracious on the phone with one of our clutch members. Trashing somebody who never did you any harm makes you look bad, not Max. Vernon mainly only hurt himself with his antics and seemed like a nice guy.
Maybe he doesn't know the significance of Maxwell. If Maxwell didn't drop 35 points in game 3 vs Phoenix after the newspapers labeled the team "Choke City", then they would be down 0-3 to Phoenix and would have lost. Also, if Maxwell didn't become clutch in game 7 of the NBA Finals, the Rockets would have never won. Clutch City wouldn't exist. Therefore Clutch wouldn't exist. Therefore Clutchfans wouldn't exist. And these fake Rockets fans wouldn't exist to diss Maxwell.
Blah blah blah. Same garbage, same garbage. There will still be Rocket fans, championships or no championship.

Cool story Dave and RR too. I guess I should have posted here, but I played poker with Otis Thorpe last summer, or was it two summers ago...hmm. Met him at the Bellagio and I was the only dude in the whole room who knew who he was. He's super nice (I had met him before when I was younger) and even remembered my name hours later when I left to go home and said bye to him.
I like how there's a point where you do this.. I'm always annoyed with that small-talk. Just fix my ****, dude! =)
I once saw Vernon Maxwell at a Carrows(coffee shop) when he played with the Kings in 99'. He seemed cool but he asked the waitress to seat him and his girl in the closed part of the dining room
Apparently you don't know the story of Clutch City. The nickname of Clutch city didn't start because of Steve Francis, Yao, or T-Mac. He didn't name himself Clutch cause he doesn't like automatics. Must I retell that story?? Oh hell here we go We are about to be subjected to a long multiple post diatribe on Max, Clutchcity and other related subjects backed up with tons of videos we have seen over and over again. ftr tinny....I think it safe to say Clutch would have started a website regardless, it jsut probably wouldn't be named clutchcity\fans\etc.
relax dude. at least when I argued back in the day, I know these people actually saw these games, now I doubt they even know who Naughty by Nature and Arsenio Hall are.
