    Actually just woke up to a fire alarm in the building...everyone had to leave their rooms. False alarm, though.

    here is my guess. Any chance one of the people at the party who referred you to the restaurant bought for you?

    How about any chance someone bought for the entire house?

    Otherwise, since nothing else is open at that time...I hate to say it, but the kitchen probably ran out of food and gave you scraps off of the dirty dishes, then didn't have the heart to charge you for it.

    I am German, but my mother is originally from Korea. I grew up in Germany and only speak a few words of Korean.


    Not really, I was referred to that restaurant by someone from another restaurant I wanted to go to, but which was just closing (at 10 p.m., lol, any person from Madrid or Buenos Aires or so wouldn't believe it...). But I guess some people went from the party to the other bar.

    No, other people were paying for themselves, and the waiter said it was a specific person who bought for me. I actually told him "I hope it was a chick, at least" and he just laughed and said he didn't know himself, they did it with his manager.

    I hope not :grin:. Feeling ok this morning, though.

    I've done it. It's not creepy, it's called generosity. Pay it forward.

    I've had the person in front of me at Starbucks pay for my order as well without knowing. Got to the window after ordering and the guy said "The car in front of you took care of it."

    And you know what? That made my day.

    You never know what kind of impact your generosity can have on someone.

    The waiter pro never rang up your meal and beer pro expecting to get a really nice tip after telling you it was taken care of, I never been a waiter but I have friends who have and tell me they comp when they can and receive a nice tips in return.

    Boy I bet the waiter was pissed when he saw only a $5 tip LMAO

    You cheap *****.

    Anyone who has been to Germany knows that you normally don't have to tip as much. Waiters and bartenders get full paychecks. He was prob trying to get a good tip bc you are a tourist.
